I see Rafa got out of another cup competition as soon as he could today
Genius that blowk.

They've really painted themselves into a corner with this. They had a manager who had done very well elsewhere in the past. This set them up to a) believe the same could (as it should) happen at NUFC, and b) have a rod to beat Ashley with if he was not backed/supported etc.

He didn't do particularly well - relegating them with more time left when he took over than some of our escapes under 'ordinary' managers, then being handed a record second level war-chest and marching them back (well just pipping Brighton), a trophy, a winning team but when it stuttered back in the top flight he started managing a narrative about how his hands were tied which the mags swallowed as it again played into their belief that they should be fighting for the title - now with a manager who was they believed capable of doing it, the only problem could be the owner, surely.

But just like Shearer before him, it turns out that Rafa's key motivation was money and "I love the Toons" means "I love what they pay me", and as soon as someone else made a better offer it was "adios amigos" (or did he maybe not fancy where things were heading?). This was easily spun into being Ashley's fault of course for failing to back the world class manager #rafagoeswego.

Another 'stellar' appointment and the Mags would have been quickly calmed down and their belief in their unrealistic expectations back to full steam, but along waddles the FGB, a former Sunderland manager with a lukewarm record of achievement- mostly in the second tier. They can't praise Ashley for this massive downgrade and it can't against the odds actually work out as then why didn't Rafa do better. Setting aside his obvious shortcomings, Mrs Doubtfire hasn't got a chance and even record signings are too little, too late to muster anything other than complete meltdown. He needs some shock positive results and soon, given that's highly unlikely - time to get the popcorn out...

Their desperation to prove their bouycoutts are successful know no bounds.

The majority of them support Rafa more than their own club now.

It’s a bit worrying how love sick they are over him.

Yep

Moyes gave us a relatively good 10 years of service yet fucked us off and had the Grim Reaper behind him at Goodison.

They had Rafa for what 3 seasons? he fucked them off and they are sick as parrots.

What more do they want they spent £40 million on a player- when did Southampton, Wolves, Bournemouth, Palace etc. Last spend that sort of dough on a player?

The Ashley way of doing things, plus the hysteria of the self appointed best fans in the world surely makes certain that nobody decent would come in and replace the FGT when he goes on one of his long non winning runs.
Can you imagine Arteta, Viera, Mourinho(wtf), Rodgers, Dyche and their ilk wanting to go anywhere near them?
Even serial failures like Hughes, Pardew, and all the other dinosaurs currently mowing their lawns would think twice.
And Ashley, is he really wanting to sell something that is giving him a nice few quid every year?
SD shares at a very low ebb - lowest ever iirc, a huge huge loss chasing Debenhams, perhaps an even bigger loss buying HoF, and a massive fine to pay Belgian tax authorities. Yeah, he really is looking to get out of the skunks:D:D.
Would love to know the figure he is after from fake rich sheikhs etc, but I can imagine it is alot higher than what is reported in the media maybe 450/500m??

What's that got to do with getting promoted? Which is an absolute must for your club. The parachute payments stop and your overheads are massive for the 3rd Division. Fail this season and I think you could be here a lot longer.

All wishful thinking. How do you know what our overheads are?
