It feels like Steve Bruce has a mountain to climb already and it coming from the Newcastle faithful. Newcastle - they are like Rafa's Rovers.
They didn’t win a Premier League game until November 3 last year; Rafael Benítez had so much support and so much loyalty from all the Newcastle fans. I don’t get it; give Bruce the same support.
Yes they were poor on Saturday, yes you can point your finger at the decisions he made, I get all of that but Benítez didn’t have the same scrutiny last year when they got to November before they managed to win a game.
It feels like after two games it is the impossible job. It could be a really short-lived relationship, and unfairly so.
I believe that Bruce has far more love and affection for the club he supported than Benítez had. The relationship between the owner and the fans is an issue but Benítez got total support and it feels like Bruce is getting zero support.
Recently the Newcastle faithful are not like the 12th man, as supporters are often described.
There was discontent when Bruce got the job. It is just a negative vibe for Newcastle and the fans have got to play their part and support the manager. The fans think that Benítez was their man, but he manipulated the media to believe that he was totally behind the club.
He wasn’t, he was out of that job before the end of the season and the evidence is not just him leaving but Salomón Rondón going with him.
We look nailed on for relegation. A <20 point season wouldn't surprise me TBH.On that showing you could very much end up in the same tier as us next year.
That won’t sit well with the toonies, or should that be moonies? It’s difficult to tell the difference sometimes. In any event the truth hurts.Always liked big Cass me![]()
is it Leeds? Not aware of Wigan having any rivals - Hull KR?
I wonder where he’ll wash up next? Ipswich would be my guess. How far down the pyramid would his pride allow him to slide befor he called it a day?
Rafa kept his job when he relegated them, Bruce should too.
Everyone is resigned already, dont think anyone is even bothered anymore , was actually laughing at how pathetic it all is when Norwich were 3-0 up on Saturday, 3rd relegation in 10 years is certain and the majority just dont care anymore, thanks Mike.
Unbeaten whilst playing shite for the opening two games of the season. You lot would grab that with all twelve fingers. We look nailed on for relegation. A <20 point season wouldn't surprise me TBH.
However, I think that Mr Ross needs to sort a few things. 6 shots on target in 3 games is hardly a team pushing for promotion, before we end in the same league.
Are we allowed to mention the true Geordie or will it get removed?

I was referring to the start of this season and you know I was. It’s your second season in division 3 , I wouldn’t be grabbing that mind.
On that note i can only make the judgement that the Ross out crowd has some Geordie DNA in them. The media are picking up on the treatment Bruce is getting compared to the Spanish Coin Chaser.
"Closed minds" is a nicely put, summing up of what we've said about that lot for years.

Bullshit and you know it.
I tried that crack with us lot and was just lying to myself. It’s a natural reaction, something starts to go tits up and you try and brush it off by saying oh I don’t care.
The majority do care, the majority are bothered and so they should following a team is part of who you are, that’s nowt to be ashamed of.
yeah things are shit but I just laugh when people say they don’t care, particularly when it is followed by a lengthy rant about the state of the club they follow.
