I got back handed by a teacher in south hylton juniors school, burst my nose,he must have realised his actions were OTT and came to the house that night after school to apologise,my mam wasn't bothered, the same teacher it eventually came out was sexually abusing male pupils at the school so I always figured I was lucky with only a burst nose.
Was he a music teacher?
Last Halloween in Southwick, the biggest culprits For antisocial behaviour were in their 20’s whilst arseholes in the 40+ bracket looked on in pride supping cans of cheap lager.. I honestly believe sterilisation is the way forward to break this cycle, aye it’s a bit shit for the one kid out of a hundred that manages to drag themselves out of the cycle but fuck it. You could wipe out 90% of professional skip rats in under 50 years by preventing them breeding.
I like the cut of your jib, sir.

It's draconian, but I'm yet to see a more straightforward solution

I didn't want to "like" this, but what's you've described here, is what was relayed to me.

difficult to put into words. one time over, if you were in your teens or thereabouts and an adult asked you to behave yourself, you'd apologise and behave.

there's at least one generation who have absolutely no respect for themselves, or others.

Exactly what we were saying. These days you say owt and the least you'll like get back is a load of lip. Things can then escalate from there. It's a sad state of affairs.

The TV show our cops in the north, was quite revealing about the lack of respect kids have and just the blatant disregard for anyone but themselves. In one episode two young lads went on a shop lifting spree in Asda Washington -even got the shop assistant to show them where the best steaks were - pinched loads of booze etc, then pushed their way out. They then carjacked a young lass on the 1231, she jumped on the bonnet, they drove off with her still on the bonnet and then dumped her off at high speed on the 1231, broken leg, traumatised. When the police arrested them, they couldn't care less-spitting on the police etc: clearly used to the system. Not a thing happened to them-the poor traumatised 17-year-old they'd put in hospital couldn't identify them, so they got some menial community order for shoplifting and they're out walking the streets now like f***ing Pat Mustard.

RIP poor bloke.

These problems all start at home, no respect or understanding of consequences of their actions. I remember cheeky little bastards who I’d end up asking to leave my lessons and go through the disciplinary code with. Detention and a phone call home

“Just to let you know XXX has been highly disruptive in my lesson today and was asked to leave and given a detention”
“Okay”
“He’ll be late home is that okay?”
“Yeah fine”

No apology or anything from the parents. I wish we were allowed to say things like “are you going to discipline your child?”. Parents seemed to be over the moon they got more time away from their kids and did nothing to sanction them.

Growing up in the 80's every terrace street in Spenny had the odd scum family who everyone avoided and talked about. Them families have bred and over the past 40 years we now have 3 generations who don't know any better. It's what they are brought up on and 99% of the time is in their gene pools. You can not blame society or governments as over the last 40 yrs there has been both good and bad times in the economy. Certain people will not change.
My eldest boy is 15 and I still keep a track on him via his phone app. If I think he is hanging around main street too long then he gets a text.
The problem with the stabbing is who did the deed and who among st that group knew that someone was carrying a screwdriver. There could be a genuine case that the youngest were totally unaware and now will be done.
As a parent that is a scary situation and I tell my boys all the time that this can happen cos of one daft mate.

Exactly this. You are onto a no win situation from the word go.
You put your point over and the kids all apologies and move on.......mmmmmm
You get a load of abuse and it ends there
You get attacked and manage to kick fuck out of all of them....expect phone photage to appear and a visit from the cops.
You get kicked to fuck as lets face it..alot of 14 /15 yr olds can be big units. The next generation are always bigger than the last and being born end of the 60's I'm feeling like Frodo Baggins .

No doubt the perpetrators will all originate from families who have to struggle by on benefits because all the foreigners took their jobs.

There's a definite underbelly of scum that seems to be growing in our society. There is no deterrent, custodial sentences are a joke and prison isn't working in terms of rehabilitation. They don't want to work as it interferes with their daily routine of drinking cheap cans of lager and whacking as much gear into them as possible so that they feel like Chuck Norris every time someone gives them a slight look.

I've spent part of the last 6 months attempting to get people into work as we have regular ongoing vacancies at our place, we use the Job Centre to advertise and the amount of no shows to interviews and those leaving after 1 shift has been astounding. There's nothing we can do about it though, the Job Centre don't follow up and there's no way we can report them. They are simply satisfying the Job Centre that they have looked for work.

Mate I have friends who teach at primary school and if that happened the abuse from the parents down the phone who leave you shocked. They would be straight on facebook calling you scum etc and waiting for you the next morning.

A while, and I get your point but I bet he’s still a better young lad for it. Even the druggies will be better than the druggies on civvy street. Just being part of a team and having the knowledge of how we all play a different role in society. It’s become less disciplined because of falling numbers but this would bump the numbers up and make it less about quantity and more about quality.
If the scroats end up in jail then we are no worse off.
These arseholes who commit these terrible crimes only look for weak targets who have no back up.
In the army there’s not many weak targets and if there is there is always someone to back them up.
He was a good lad anyway but he enjoys the work etc
I feel he is being pressured/bullied into joining in with the drug taking but he us resisting
Which kind of leaves him out of the group which is totally not what you need in the military

Said it before and I'll say it again but probably be deleted.

All stems from the not being able to smack your kids, kids not being caned in schools and the whole "you can't touch me" attitude from kids.

Biggest fear for me as a kid of the 70s was "wait till your dad gets home"

PC brigade will disagree and say it's about culture etc, it's not it's about discipline.

When I was a kid you never got stabbed for being from the wrong postcode, so don't tell me it's reported more.

Hate to say it but it's about left these little fuckers thinking they're untouchable and gangs are cool

Fuck all to do about how it's reported.

Didn’t smack my bairn. Not once.

Up to today, the bairns murder count is zero.

Violence is not the answer. Bringing them up properly is. It can be done without casual violence.

Agree however for a small proportion of kids it can be the difference between never doing something again and re offending.
My dad never raised a hand to us but fuck me he had a temper and one of them deep growling voices that did the trick.
It still comes down to good parenting

Drugs has no place in the forces I must admit and I didn’t know it was that bad. But that type of thing is even more prevalent in civvy street. But I understand if it’s lads in his unit doing it it’s tough. But honestly there is loads of things he could do, transfer, take a course, apply for extended leave even take a job somewhere else within the unit. Which is my point tbf a lot of kids don’t have or feel they don’t have any options when they leave school and end up following the crowd/family into crime or drugs, or living on benefits because it seems the norm.
Hope he gets sorted either way mate.
