Sounds like they didn't give a fuck about Rafa as suspected.In the modern football world you reward someone if they are doing a decent job in the PL ,he wasnt given it.
Proof that at times our owner is a twat , unprofessional and cant see what he had, a decent manager.
He then hired Steve Bruce.

So true, the slippery slope started when home teams were allowed to keep all the gate receipts, it used to be split between the two clubs playing.

Don't think it was anything personal like, they made him an offer he didn't take it and fucked off (for more money) simple.

He didn’t even want to stay man, he was gone before his contract expired. This shit about hearing it on the tele was bullshit as well. You lot need to realise he didn’t give a shit about you and only cared about himself.
