I remember listening to Bobby Robson talking about Craig Bellamy. He said he caused him no end of problems and issues and was an absolute nightmare to manage but it was all worth going through for what he game him for the 90 minutes he gave him at the end of the week when everything really mattered.

I'm not comparing Bellamy to Chris Maguire by the way but just making the point that if there are issues some managers might be able to find a way to deal with it and still play and get the best out of a player.

The Mags, under Robson, ended up fighting on the pitch and won fuck all tbf.

Isn't that Maddison from Posh a right shit house? I suppose it's a managers job to keep all the ego's in check and give players a bit of a slap every once in a while whilst still trying to get performances

f***ing hell man how gullible are people on here. The OP is a MadBob alter ego and is full of shite!

If true it's a shame as number 10 roll would suit him. No reason to dispute this as he wasn't used as much last season regardless of injury. He does seem a loose canon so quite possible.

If true Ross can't be blamed as he can not play him if attitude wrong.

Listen to Leadbitters press conference as he mentions a few times payers have to put shift in Monday to Friday so feeling that's what he could be meaning.

He strikes me as the type who needs to be managed carefully. I think hes at his best when hes wound up. You need to make him want to prove you wrong and rub your nose in it. If i was his gaffer i would want to get him to the point where he puts one in from 20 yards then is running to me in the dugout with a "fuck you" attitude.

Causing Ross a few problems in training. As I said last season he got dropped because of unprofessionalism and it seems like it’s creeping up again.

He’s not training to the levels expected and his effort has been minimal and he’s been warned by Ross that it won’t be accepted and to start putting the effort in again and regardless of how good he is on a Saturday it isn’t allowed.

Same person who told me this told me about his antics at training and turning up with friends, and it was proved correct when he was benched a few days later.
U heard about Takeover???

Yes. He's a bellend on the training ground, on the pitch and off the field. Hence why he still plays for Peterborough.

I tend to believe this TBH. You just need to look at him to see he doesn't take training seriously - it's obvious he's carrying a bit extra weight and for a professional sports person that's inexcusable IMO.

I think this is a bit of a stretch. No one, including the OP has a scooby if this is true.

All I know is we look a dam sight better team with him playing than on the bench.

Of course, it's just my opinion about him not being fit but he certainly doesn't look in good condition and hasn't since he's been here.

He struggles to last 90 minutes n'all. I agree he shows flashes of talent but IF he's not putting the graft in during training as a senior pro that sends out a shocking message to the younger lads and shouldn't be tolerated IMO.
