It really is frightening - they spent £80M on Almiron, Joelinton and Saint Max - none of them looked good enough for the Premiership. Its way early to judge these players I know but they look an utter waste of money. That said they spent £40M on Joelinton - a lad who has not scored many goals in his career.
 
Rather than blaming Ashley, I would say that the mags are themselves undermining the club with their delusional benchmark that the "transfer record" has to be repeatedly smashed as a sign of the clubs "ambition" and "status"- and kicking off when it hasn't been in a designated period of time (this mentality originates from the euphoria around breaking the world record to sign shearer)

The result is, to keep them pacified, is they're now ending up spending ludicrously inflated prices for shite players. Look at Almiron, terrible.

the weirdest logic is ''so fuck how much we spent, ashley has still made a profit'' excuse me, why the fuck wouldnt he make a profit? is he just in it to please those fuckers, despite the death threats etc
 
Jury still out on Joelinton for me. Got in decent positions today and looks physical.

Almiron on the other hand...Jesus.
