Sold for British transfer fee as not in same ambition as Liverpool. No surprise
Bought for nowt as not in same ambition as West Ham. Only surprise Ashley sanctioned it.

Anybody worrying about ability to play when fit is worrying unnecesarilly. Never fit & no longer able to play

He used to be absolutely unplayable in the air. He might still be but the rest of his game is shot to bits with the injuries. Less mobile than mitrovic

Since 3 points for win came in its astounding that anyone can get less than 30 points in top flight football. I mean how bad do you have to be. Then to get less than 25. Then less than 20. Then less than 16. That is rank. That is beyond failure at all levels of a football club. That is beyond Steve Bruce. That is truly how bad it is.

If somehow he manages to get/stay fit for more than half a season then he might be handy to have, but he's never fit for long enough to be useful, and that is why he's on a free transfer.
Hopefully my scepticism is wrong, and he plays 30 odd games and scores 15-20 goals. Highly doubtful though

I reckon he’ll do well for your lot. Probably more to do with the fact you always come up smelling of roses mind. You spawny twats ;)
 
Best thing about current situation is Newcastle being a mediocre top flight team hoping to stay up is a regular occurrence since 1950s. Sunderland being a Third Division club in the same period is now starting to become a regular occurence.

Reiver for all his faults always calls this correctly. Newcastle never come up smelling of roses. They just dont under achieve as much as Sunderland.
 
Not a bad bit of business by Ashley ‘pay as you play’

Might do enough to keep them up and Bruce in a job.

If it was us we would have signed him on a three year contract..
