As the season drew to a close and he was asked constantly about his future in interviews or press conferences, I was just a bit unconvinced by his answers.

Then the silence from both camps as the expiration of his contract approached.

I see now that he had it all worked out. He can say that he fulfilled his contract, but he knew that he had a lucrative offer too.

We ended up relatively comfortable, he is obviously a good tactician, but I have not mourned his exit. Bizarrely, I am really starting to look forward to the season. I do not agree with some of the far fetched opinions some supporters have of the club. I really don't think things are that bad.
