One mistake was staring jimmy someone knew he wasn’t fit, even though he is senior we got 4 overs out of him. And it took its toll when our bowlers got tired.

But we should have conceded the game with Bringing him in he can’t run so he going to block for three hours.

Foakes as a straight swap for Bairstow, Leach for Ali.

Denley for Sibley, possibly?

Or even Curran. Another option with the ball, which could be crucial with Jimmy out - and he's still gonna get more runs than Denley.

I’d rather at least get win or two in the ashes also I can’t see it, Anderson will be like Daniel off karate kid shortly bouncing on one leg with his bat

I'm delighted we won the WC, but for me Test cricket is the absolute pinnacle, and as an Englishman, Ashes cricket is the cream of the cream.

I'd swap the WC win for shithousing a series win here, personally

My thoughts exactly.

I honestly don't know how Bairstow gets selected ahead of Foakes. Yes, he has hit the odd brilliant hundred, but in between that there's not much else.
To have an average in the mid-thirties after 60+ tests in ths era of corporate pitches just isn't good enough.
Foakes is both a better batsman and keeper. The only thing Bairstow excels at is mouthing off.
 
Fucks Anderson batting for ?...he hasn't bowled ,hasn't fielded yet we've sent him out to bat...absolutely mental decision

If we take this series loss the odds of us reclaiming them over there are astronomical though. Then that’s three in a row for Aussie. Not worth the WC for me, at all.

Except in football there isn’t a rule that says if you draw 2 all you win. And we’ve had about 3 shots on target when the goal was empty but didn’t score, and they’ve had 15 since. And our back four are passing the ball between themselves under their own posts. And our star striker is injured and our other forward thinks the corner flag is the goal so is booting it there all the time.

Then you’re in the right territory
