@Keith S30S it was 6 years ago just FYI
Had forgotten Hazelwood. Wasn’t counting Anderson as I doubt he’s going to be involved. Root and Stokes aren’t there for me yet in the echelons of the best in respect to temperament. Fair play about the others though I was off there. Annoyingly they’re Aussies.Harsh. I’d say that Root, Stokes, Broad and Anderson and then Warner, Smith, Hazelwood, Lyon, Starc and Cummins are all excellent test players
Root is definitely an excellent test cricket. Averaging nearly 50 in 80 odd gamesHad forgotten Hazelwood. Wasn’t counting Anderson as I doubt he’s going to be involved. Just bat in spells and see where it gets us. Spell 1 just completed.Well done to Roy and Burns. They need to do that tomorrow morning and get through the first session.
Oh aye but I don’t think that changes the reality and difficulty of the situation. England don’t have the batting capacity to bat for long enough in either innings and haven’t for years. Even when we won in Australia it was almost entirely Cook that allowed us to occupy the crease fo any length of time.Very sorry I was driving.
How many times have the failed to bat out a full day to lose in the last 6 years?
In modern test cricket the game is often over after 4 days. You don't get that many draws in non rain effected games.
Aye but I think the captaincy has hobbled him badlyRoot is definitely an excellent test cricket. Averaging nearly 50 in 80 odd games
Shane Warne, go fuck yourself, Steve Smith, "what he has been through in the past year," just lazing around the cheating bastard?
Regardless of what you think of him, he’s an incredible player.Captain Smith has done the business today.

Next target, drinks at around 12:00 tomorrow.Just bat in spells and see where it gets us. Spell 1 just completed.
Aussies missed a trick there by not declaring earlier.
It is quite depressing aye. Certainly the art of opening at least seems to have died a death.Jason Roys footwork
Mad how far being a slogger can get you in todays game.
