Honeyman to Hull?

Yes I saw what he said on twitter yesterday. Th comments from Ross I posted were front rj Chronicle today so wasn't sure if they were new ones or from yesterday that Donald clarified.
I think they do the video press conference as shown on SAFC.com then another for the written press. That definitely used to be the case in the Prem at least. There used to be a lot of crossover and duplication but you'd still get stuff in the papers that you hadn't seen/heard previously.

Not seen any confirmation yet but was said to be having his medical yesterday so presumably if there's no issues there it won't be much longer.
I'd be very surprised If Ross hasn't got someone lined up to replace Honeyman who whether you rate him or not was always in or around Ross's first eleven .........Or with Honeyman absent from Portugal pre season could have been angling for a move and the club have weighed all options and agreed to let him move on
The Maddison link never seems to go away and been commented on loads of times ...hanging on till last minute to get the best deal out of Peterborough seems to be a popular feeling

Even though Honeyman a Ross favourite ..think there might have been a conversation where Ross couldn't guarantee a starting place so the lad has decided to move on ..so getting a move to a Championship club isn't the worst move and think everybody concerned probably happy

We are all happy !

Should have changed the formation. It was obvious that 4-2-3-1 didn’t work - and not just with Honeyman playing in that role, either. The team shape certainly didn’t help Honeyman perform in particular, though.

If we're going to play 4-2-3-1, the 'two' can't be predominantly defensive minded players along with the number 10. Our worst midfield trio in that respect is/was McGeouch, Leadbitter and Honeyman. One of them would have been fine, two isn't ideal, and all three just stifles our attack completely. Last season, a trio of (for example) O'Nien, Power and Maguire would have been more energetic, athletic and would have got the ball forward more quickly.
Am i the only one thats slightly dissapointed by this?

I would have liked him to be a squad player for us. Seems that wasn't an option though; if he was here and fit he was playing, and that was proving to be a problem.

Ross wants a LB and we have to sell a player to bring one in. Ideally Ross would have liked to keep Honeyman. But the club accepted a bid from Hull and Ross had a decision to make. Stick with Honeyman and miss out on an LB or sell Honeyman and bring in a LB. That's how I see it judging by the comments.

If Honeyman was an advanced midfield player, then Embleton's introduction could be seen as the replacement but as we don't seem to have ever figured out where to play Honeyman it's difficult to replace him.

Embleton's development should be one of JR's priorities as he looks to have an awful lot to offer given a run of games. The confusion about Honeyman's best position along with him having the captaincy was always going to hamper Embleton's progress.

I think the opposite, in that Ms Byrne has been touting for a new contract with Honeyman in his last year.. Now prob me if I'm wrong but did'nt one of the owners say something about Ms Byrne, Hell and freezing over (or words to that effect ) regarding some of here clients. My be wrong but.........;)
