Honeyman to Hull?

Last year of his contract. if he's not signing a new one, it could be a case of £400k now, or nothing next July.
Get a few quid for him and replace with somebody on a free and lower wages............Makes perfect business sense! There will however come a point in time where this model will have to be adapted or we are going nowhere!

I agree with the shooting technique, he’s certainly no goalscorer. He is also poor in the air.

I think it’s a little harsh to slate him for his decision making and angles of play when these are reliant on the movement of his team mates. I thought in the Prem, with a better quality of player, his reactions, decision making and movement in the ball was more assured.

I also disagree regarding athleticism, he was one of most mobile midfielders last season, although i reckon he may have been carrying a knock in the last third of the season.
I agree with the prem bit, I think most players look better when they're playing alongside better players who make your job easier, crazy to think that players who played in that league couldn't stand out in the shit league we find ourselves in.

A lot of players play with injections for a large portions of the season mate. Our very own ex captain Cattermole being a prime example.
Totally agree mate. I totally disagree though that Honeyman played a third of the season with a knock though. Just didn’t happen, he wasn’t good enough.

The bid is £400,000 apparently. The club must want rid, how many teams even league 2 would sell their club captain in his mid twenties, having played a major part of the previous season, for such a paltry sum?

Walsall sold us their young captain for less than what we are selling Honeyman.

Also, I got excited when I seen him play at the weekend, even though it was only his first appearance in a meaningless friendly, but he’s already got me more excited than dear George ever has.

i didn't mind Catts although we obviously needed to get his wages off the books. getting rid of Honeyman means no more Jack Ross playing him in positions he can't play just to justify his choice of captain
The best thing about him leaving will not having to hear this trotted out all the time

Ross played him because he thought he was a good option in whichever position he played. Not because he was captain

100% I agree with your comments.

The derisory comments about a player who started with us as a 10yrs old, and hasnt left yet, beggars belief.

Yes he is a bang average player, who should never have been appointed captain, but some of the comments on here typifies some of the shite posters we have on here. Some of you are a disgrace and not fit to call yourself fans.

If you leave George, good luck and thank you for giving 100%.

Well said. Some are going way ott. He's not even that bad. He'll probably end up excelling elsewhere.

whether he's a local lad or not is irrelevant. Football is all about opinions and this is mine. Absolute dog shit of a footballer I see much better than him every bastard Sunday morning. Worst captain in our recent history although I agree that wasnt his fault. I'm glad he's leaving and the fact we're getting any sort of fee is a miracle
