Cricket World Cup 2019

I am struggling to think of any other country that has won 2 of those never mind 3.

France maybe?
3 rugby finals for France, no wins. No chance in cricket any time soon.

Australia won rugby and cricket. No chance in the football any time soon.

Bit of a hollow stat, but an achievement all the same.

Only teams that could win all three conceivably are South Africa, Australia or NZ. And they're a long way from that level of football.

The Czech Republic, Spain and Germany all have rugby sides. Me and some mates bumped into the Czech Rugby team once while in Prague. They were on a night out after a home European qualifier v Spain (They lost). They were a cracking set of lads and included a few who were working and playing in the UK for professional teams down south such as Bedford. Arguably Australia are the only other country who could win all three but their football league has an awful long way to go. South Africa as well possibly, but the odds on either of them ever winning a Football world cup would be astronomical and the saffers are yet to even get to a cricket final.

Would be good if some European countries took up Cricket more seriously, not just the Netherlands. Its a great sport and they actually have better weather for it than we do. I suppose its like trying to persaude the British to watch Baseball though.

I’m tempted but no, to trawl back to the Sri Lanka game on this thread
