Takeover in trouble

Exactly - which is why complaints about lack of signings at this stage are completely justified, not 'bed wetting'.

The vast majority of signings in League One are free transfers. The majority of those - and certainly the best ones - will have been done already, because they were freely available from the beginning of this week. Our squad relative to others has gone backwards.
100 points my arse.

I think the vast majority of people cling on to the hope that those in charge have got things all under control and there’s a well organised plan for incoming transfers but sadly I’m starting to have a bad feeling about what’s going on.

I’ve seen it too many times- yes we all desperately want to believe things are going to be ok but the signs aren’t looking great are they?

That’s certainly the hope and it’s a big test of Ross. How will he cope with the pressure of getting 100 points?

I’d be far more relaxed if we see half a dozen proven players in positions we need strengthening in coming into the club in the next couple of weeks.
The problem with owning a football club at our level is the balance between the business side the footballing side and the fans expectations.........you could quite easily see a way of breaking even and staying in league one or mid championship and that may make great business sense ..........however we are in a competitive sport and the business has to attract (especially at our level)fans to the game......... if we have a scenario where we are hanging around at best the mid table championship or worse for years to come our great club will slowly become a complete non entity and the crowd will dwindle to the lower 20 thousands or worse.......and if i am being honest i dont thinkk the three amigos give a fekk about the footballing side as long as they keep the costs to a minimum!

Despite what people say, the reality is, they couldn't really afford to buy the club

they mustered 12 million together, that was it

Its been evident all along

Its a f***ing nightmare at the minute
Yes exactly this. SD is wealthy but not wealthy enough to be a serious owner of a club trying to progress. CM hasn’t got a pot to piss in when it comes to football and is being found out to be an utter gobshite.

All this talk of hear say (pure and simple before any cunny funt starts) rumour bullshit and interviews that can be twisted more than pasta are being bandied around and there is nothing substantial to back them up and it is wrong that our own fans are using them as a stick to beat the Club. Ask Stewart and Charlie questions fair enough but they are handicapped with everything they say it gets twisted

They have tried to explain the finances in several ways on several occasions. The accounts will reveal what has or hasn’t gone on for all to see rather than these wild accusations which frankly aren’t helping the club
That’s the whole point though isn’t it?, the fact they’ve tried to explain this deal multiple times over multiple podcasts etc yet people were still scratching their heads as to how the club was truely bought and the deal structured. That’s the crux of many peoples mine included issue with the owners. Every time I’ve listen to them “explain” the deal it’s felt something was off, I don’t claim to have any business knowledge at all so it’s always been just a gut feeling of listening to them talk about it.

Alternatively the reason some people are still scratching their heads and unable to understand the deal is either 1. it’s too complicated for them or 2.they can’t be bothered to shift a negative gut feeling by getting into the detail or 3.they just want to believe the worst/ conspiracy theories. There’s loads of people believe the earth is flat. There’s people who think it’s legitimate to petition their MP to moan about how their club is being run.
Donald got pissed off being called out no matter how often he tried to explain things. Now we have radio silence- an information vacuum : just look at the utter shite that has filled it!!

So how did they prove given Sartori couldn't be involved at this point, that they had 50m hard cash available to the league to take over the club?

But that's what Donald has said all along, himself.

You think it is coincidence that he 'got pissed off being called out' three days before the minutes of that meeting were released? Presumably you also think it was coincidence that his first 'twitter holiday' came the week the accounts were released and the first signs emerged of odd payments from the club to Madrox?

And you suggest other people are flat earthers?

He had to show the league £50 million available so he obviously has / had the funds.

The question is whether they are willing to put their own funds into the club going forward. That remains to be seen

Whilst I have some doubts over the way they "purchased" the club, ^ this is a good point

At what stage of the transfer window did we pay money for a player last season? It was late I'm sure.

All panic over fuck all from the usual suspects.

and we missed out on promotion dumb nuts, in fact the latter half of the season we were shite and few more weeks we wouldn't have even made the play offs

I've certainly got my doubts in some areas, but suggesting they just scrambled 12m together because that's all they could muster and rather than simply thats how they've made it work is madness. had they not had more money available then we probably wouldn't have got through the early part of last summer and they simply wouldn't have got hold of the club.

It doesn’t have to be liquid assets though does it?, just that he could access that amount of money?. I’m guessing someone worth ex amount of money he is would have access via means to £50m needed.

They had to prove they had that money available given our losses, wage bill, court cases etc at the time. Not in assets etc, but that they could actually get their hands on it.

The fact we’re crying out for investment and our multi millionaire shareholder satori isn’t wishing to put another penny in suggests there is some substance to the rumours. Surely he was brought in to move the club on to the next level
