Totally agree, we were short on creativity, hence everybody crying out for Maddison.

Stewart will know this aswell, even if he is after a quick buck, which he has said many time he isn't, why would he also not want us to go up to the championship as quick as we can.

Tbh are we really worried about the players we have apparently missed out on, Ladapo, Shankland, Wilson???

Ridiculous, I think our #1 striker target is Marquis and until he moves somewhere else I don't see us looking for another we. I think the delay stems from Stewart haggling over the price tag a later, which you can't blame him.

Next week is big for us, we want a few in before we go to Portugal etc

Just like to have the players in early a few good games in preseason and everyone gelling going into the first game, still hopefull

Ive said all along Maddison is what we are crying out for. He's perfect for league one and is a game changer imo.. Just what we need.. So doubt we'll get him then! I wouldn't of minded Marquis but not while we have Wyke. I shouldn't be, but I'm confident Wyke and Grigg are going to hit it off next season.

Definitely need at least 2 signings before Portugal though. I've got more faith than doubt as it stands.

What are they supposed to do if they give no update then people will start rumours that there must be something going on - if they announce that there is no news then the rumours will start that there must be something going on as they have announced no news.

They aren’t worrying times , the owners aren’t trying to sell, just looking at investment options. We have only got rid of cattermole because of his wages. Stop believing newspapers

Not in the slightest. We'll sign who we can. Que sera sera. We're SAFC, not Real Madrid. No player in the world (apart from a few lads born in the area) has a burning desire to play for us.
We'll be offering contracts to players and the agents will tell them to sit on them before committing in case someone else comes in with a better offer. Add the fact that we can afford more than others in the league so the agents will again be holding out for a few extra K. We can't force players to sign f***ing contracts can we. You think we should just chuck another £10k a week at everyone to them to convince them to sign? Worked great with Borini etc.

Are we weaker now at the start of this season than we were at the start of last? Absolutely. No Maja and no Cattermole. Matthews also made some good contributions. As too did James.

I never said anything about pissing away money my post was about the owners flipping the club and I was just worried about it are you not?

You can't really count maja nobody could see him doing as well as he did at the time, James average, mcglochlin is probably similar standard wise to mathews
 
Come on guys we all support and love safc but we’ve just finished 5th in the third tier, my first year was 87 in the same league and we Walked it, don’t care what other people say we are the biggest club in this league and should make a statement, that season after crimbo was bloody awful, I was merely asking if people had heard things about them making quick money, no hidden agenda

Don't think anybody is having a go mate, just other opinions on it. sometimes it's easy to jump to conclusions because of radio silence.

We can't say Stewart didn't put his hand in his pocket in Jan, just didn't work out.

We kept relying on Mcgeady and not feeding Grigg.

Now we had a pre season together we will hit the ground running.

Well one season later they are selling the majority stake apparently why would you do that? And during an interview during the week methvan said the weren’t paying the club back the parachute payments?
