Kerber's a set up but struggling a bit. Davis was up a break in the first set until she fell and hurt herself. Lost the next five games in a row after that but she's up a break in the second set and is hitting Kerber off the court at times.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kerber loses if it carries on like this for the next forty minutes or so.

Certainly looks like it's going 3. Might stick the decider on the laptop in the background to the big one when it starts next. Bertens is never going to be as good on grass as other surfaces, but would still be a shock if she went out today, but she saved a MP, won the tie break and into a decider there.

Konta comfortably through, and 3 Brit's into the 3rd round. Stark contrast to last year.

Kerber out.

Christ, that 'quarter of death' is flopping. Serena dropped her first set 2-6. A lot was made of Barty not having to play a top 10 player and only one seed in her 7 matches at the French, however this might end up similar. Dart instead of Muguruza in R3, and could quite easily be Riske who's currently out of the top 50 in the 4th round (albeit a very good grass player), and then anybody's guess after that.

Serena has just got an immediate break in the second.

I was on row Z last year on Court 1 as well and view was fine. They have added a couple of thousand extra seats this year with the new roof, but I doubt that will affect things, and you could see the view on the website which was good.

Just having a look at the matches on Friday to see what the potential line up could be. No British interest that day now with Edmund and Watson both going out toay. I'd think something like:

Centre
Djokovic - very likely
Halep-Azarenka - pretty much nailed on as 2 big names

Court 1
Medvedev-Goffin
Pliskova-Hsieh

Kevin Anderson hasn't been on one of the 2 big courts yet and he is the runner up and #4 seed, so I'd imagine he will be on one of them, and either Gauff or Wozniacki making up the 6 matches across the 2 show courts. It really should be Gauff after all the attention she is rightly getting.

Wow was not expecting to see Novak. Pleased with that.

Yeah, just seen the line up, that's a really good OOP for Court 1. An all time great, one of the hottest young prospects, and then one of the women's faves in a real clash of styles. Hsieh came back from 1-5 in the final set to win against Pliskova in an event earlier in the year, and she could drive her crazy with her slices. Can't complain there.

The biggest stage for young Coco.
