Takeover in trouble

I wasn’t suggesting that anything is particularly damaging, I have no idea about that. What I would say is that @Grumpy Old Man seems reluctant to reveal anything (in no way a criticism of him). That suggests to me that there has been some new information shared in the meeting, given they have discussed finances many times and given many differing accounts I can’t blame anyone for being concerned. The transparency must be questioned even if only slightly.

It's more a question of the club's side needing to come from the club, and not hearsay from the supporters side. Also, it's important that all the groups are seen as equals. That means nothing is said about the minutes until they're out.

I get that but the suggestion is that there is something new/different from the club side. Now that could be a clarification of things that weren’t communicated well previously but then there has to be some limit to how many times that can be used.

Damm those minutes

So in the last few weeks:

- The owner announced a twitter holiday as soon as the accounts came out and it became apparent that a strange £10m loan had been made out of the club to the owner's company, saying we should only look forwards

- The owner came back to twitter but when questioned about it further deleted his twitter account entirely

- The club are sitting on minutes of a meeting which went through the detail, preventing them going into the public domain for the best part of a month

- Our incoming transfer business has been as cheap as it gets

- We have done a deal with one of our best players of last season just to get him off the books - with rumours that more will follow

- It looks very much like the takeover is off, and as a result we can't financially compete with Scottish Championship sides.

If it looks like shit, and it smells like shit, my guess is that the whole thing is a big steaming turd. Mind, as chancers go, I'll give them credit where it is due: their PR schtick, selfies, and bringing podcasts etc onside through snippets of information did a good job of kicking enough sand up for a while.

My concern is what happens over the next 12 - 18 months if nobody comes in to give them the massive personal profits they were apparently banking on from Day 1.

Even if we end up in League One after parachute payments cease, with our income from attendances etc and the right management we should still be able to gain promotion.

...near Southwick?

It's 'spin' man. Club is into overdrive on here.

No sh1t.

People get exactly what they deserve IMO by snooping into things that simply don't have anything to do with them.

And this grumpy berk needs a very long ban too.

Absolutely top post and highlights why people are worried

End of the transfer window will be their climax

So was Plan A was promotion season 1... and Sartori kicks in with big investment once the club moves into the champo...

Plan B was, miss promotion and... shit - I guess wheel and deal for some type of majority investor infusion of cash, and if that doesn't work, scrat around on buttons with a small loan until...

Plan B is not very encouraging, to say the least...

It's more a question of the club's side needing to come from the club, and not hearsay from the supporters side.

Minutes are supposed to be a record of what was said, taken by someone at a meeting, and then agreed by the parties.

My concern is that from what you've said about five different groups have been happy with the minutes for the last fortnight. Surely they can't still be that inaccurate now in the hands of the last group? How many changes can be needed at this stage?
