Genuine concern that Donald hasn't actually put any of his own coin in and used money from SAFC to "buy" it. Lots of distrust around about the current owners and concerns they don't have the coin to finance on an ongoing basis. Donald and Methven honeymoon over for most.

I tend to agree with this but am willing to wait to see if the three amigos make me eat humble pie ..humble pie is best served with a slice of hindsight and the next year or so will clarfy whats going on with our great club ..........in truth rapacious grifters cannot hide their true colours for long!and in our case i will be delighted to eat humble pie!as it will mean safc is in safe hands.

Must admit, I've heard Donald be asked about the financial situation in terms of how the club was bought etc on pretty much every podcast. Every time he says he probably wasn't clear enough last time, then proceeds to spout a load of stuff that doesn't really make sense and certainly doesn't give clarity. I've always put it down to him simply not being very good at communicating it, but it could be a way of being evasive.

I'm still very much backing them mind. I might be having the wool pulled over my eyes but I think they seem canny (albeit I'm aware their main driver will be profit) and I hope that they are genuinely wanting to make us sustainable whilst still pushing us forwards for the good of the club and for the good of their investment. Like many others, however, I think this window is huge and my trust in them might dramatically change if we don't do what we need to do to give us the best possible chance of promotion

Stewart's "don't play youngsters on the last year of their contract" policy beggars belief. Cutting off the nose to spite the face. Maja situation was a disaster.

It's make or break time for these. I have some hope in that I like Ross and the seats. Now time to get the team right.

I completely disagree about the young players. Unless we have a 18y/o Messi on our hands then we should not develop them if they won't commit to us. At the moment is set up so lower league clubs get rinsed when they have a decent academy set up because kids can walk away with zero/barely any compo.

What SD proposed was completely reasonable. The Maja situation would not have unfolded of that policy was in place two years ago.

Yeah we would have been 20 goals short and finished mid table instead.

Nope. He would have signed a contract with us way earlier because he was completely unknown and would have wanted to play rather than spend a couple of years in the kids team.

It was only after his amazing start offers started coming in for him. That's what SD is trying to avoid.

Why wouldn’t that apply to any player in the last year?
