They’ve told agents he’d be available at the correct price.
Therefore not looking to sell, but could be tempted to.
I am not bothered about selling anyone as every player has their price, but the club not signing the quality players to get us out of this league I definitely am .You dont have to be a brain surgeon to work out why we are waiting to sign players on July 1st as they are out of contract.

Your the type of fan that has resulted in us being in league 1

Happy to accept any old shite. This is league 1 bulk of business is done early in the window it isn't like the premier league.

This time last year we had signed 10 players.
 what did you do as we descended through the leagues?

The majority of out of contract players have already announced their moves, and are already training with their new clubs. Not sure why you'd wait til 1st July to announce their signing...

SUNDERLAND. Takeover in trouble. Buyer Mark Campbell’s group now want to pay less. Not gone down well. All sorts of haggling. Doesn’t look like being done this window if at all.
Now there's a shock (NOT)

I'm starting to think that this has all been made out to be a lot bigger than it ever was. From what Donald has said we have enough to be very competitive next season so we should crack on without this Campbell fella, especially if goal posts are being moved.

If you have to pay for a player that meets SD 100 points which I think he is having a giraffe honestly then you pay up and sign them. Can see us signing another pile of shite like Flanagan Looverns and Baldwin.

Can't disagree but we aren't hardly going to bring in world class player's mate. Got to realise where we are. It's shit but reality check needed with some fans marra.

I think that Stewart Donald has been up front about how much money there was available right from the start. He also was clear that as the Club progressed new investment would be essential. To me its a sensible move to always be seeking the right sort of investors out over a period of time rather than to wait until the last minute when you are desperate for it and Mr Donald seems to be doing this.

I always assumed that such and investment would depend on SAFC getting promoted to the Championship because a) our present owners must have planned to have sufficient resources to see them over a couple of seasons in League One because promotion at the first go was hardly guaranteed and b) a place in the Championship would require greater financial resources than Mr Donald could provide himself and c) a Championship Club is an all round more attractive proposition to any potential investor /buyer.

The possibility of SAFC's promotion a few weeks ago may at the time have aroused the interest and excitement of some potential investors but as we all know it was not to be. Perhaps talk of the purchase of a big controlling interest in the club coming about has been a bit premature at this time. However there may still be those who are know to Stewart Donald who want to keep their options open in the event of SAFC having a more successful season than the last one

Let's face it, given Campbell was at the Play Off Final this deal has been in the pipeline for a while and Stewart Donald was probably hoping he'd have been selling him a Championship club. Maybe SD is no longer in a hurry to sell and wants to wait until we get promoted to get a bigger return on his investment as a promoted club at the end of next season.

I think Donald's main concern is that you can't guarantee a potential investor will be around just when you need one. Look how hard Ashley has found it to get a buyer. If there is a genuine investor asking now, who's to say he won;t have sound something else to do with his money by the time you need it. It could well be a case of taking it while it's there.

How much did Luton spend last year? They got 94 points.
It all comes down to how you recruit and who is doing it for you. Luton made some good free signings and used the loan market well. Barnsley also seem to have a knack of picking players up and selling for profit. I certainly wouldn't be against utilising the loan market and keeping our powder dry for next summer should we go up.
