I think England are going out regardless. Point stands, I’ve never seen anything like that. The game is virtually yours, the pitch is turning square, you have all spinners still with overs left and you come on as Captain bowling throw downs. Utterly bizarre....

This was no fix imo, but others think different so be it.

I’m still blaming England for letting the chance for such a game to occur.

Unfortunately I'm in the pub and missed out on watching it.

Seems from afar like an egotistical captain who wanted the crowning glory - but others who are watching seem to think foul play

That’s exactly it. A captain wanting to be the hero, but he blew it. It happens.

I’m not having the fix. Open to be wrong when it emerges in 15 years

I watched the Pakistan game, it was not right, even at the end, when the Afghan captain was interviewed , he was full of smiles !
To me, the captain threw that game, clear as day.
To bring himself on for the last over was beyond belief, after his awful previous over
To me, he was just making sure they lost the match, it really was that obvious.
 
Seems to be a trend in the last few games of the chasing team batting extremely cautiously, especially when trying to get modest scores.

Imad, after the game: 'Rashid Khan was bowling brilliantly. I couldn't pick him to be honest. But we knew that if we play 50 overs, we'll win. Gulbadin was the only bowler to be targetted, the wicket was turning square'. (Cricinfo). Whichever way we look at it, the Captain's decision making and duff bowling lost them the game. Little wonder, perhaps, that Afghan seemed to want to direct him at times.
 
So, I’m at graft tomorrow, can someone help me out with a link that’ll work on my iPhone? Or the websites that people use? I’m properly stuck as I thought my NowTV would have at least covered the Main Event channel, but it f***ing doesn’t.
