Bloody hell, it's far more likely he thought he'd be a hero and blew it than he fixed it.
That was what I thought.....at first.
His ego and decision making was what the Afghan players were bothered about when he was given the captaincy pre tournament.
BUT....I know what I just saw.

He bowled shite, so did Stokes but nobody accused him of match fixing. That other guy was pretty much captaining them today anyway, probably didn't even pick himself to bowl.

Overs have been known to go the journey. Did rashid serve up sixes to Morgan the other week?

It happens, was a small chase, which England failed to do v Sri Lanka, Pakistan got over the line

T20 World Cup final

Stokes had 18 to play with off one over.

I can't believe anybody would seriously think Afghanistan would deliberately throw the chance to win a world cup match. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Pathetic.

Did you see the ex Captain pretending he couldn’t see the ball when it lobbed up in the air for a dolly  There was so many things wrong in those last few overs.

You are missing my point. England’s inability to beat Pakistan and Sri Lanka, allowed for this instance to occur.

England have only themselves to blame if we fail to get to the semis.

If they were really throwing the game Afghanistan, they put up a damn fine performance to nearly blow a fix.

First time they’ve batted fifty overs in the competition
They batted fifty overs against England.

Yeah, like you said, you get overs that are just out of the blue, the bowler loses his bottle or the batsman just gets lucky. That's why we love sport.
I’m not blaming anyone but England if we fail to get to the semis.

We blew two winnable games, whereas Pakistan JUST got over the line

A real fix would have seen afghan, as they have in the tournament, not bat fifty overs and score around 180

They batted fifty overs against England.
Missed that good point. I was just following what a commentator said early doors today

Did you watch it?
Who do you think is at fault if England are inched out by Pakistan for the semis

Afghanistan?

I’m not bothered, I’m talking about the game I just watched. It’s not a couple of people on here it’s trending all over Twitter. There was something not right watching it and I’ve watched cricket for a long time.

I did, maybe I'm naive but I just thought it was a funny misjudgement by a crap fielder than a guy throwing the game
Had my doubts after Roy dropped a dolly v Pakistan when we got beat

Fixed

I know that but as you know, these things happen. For a fix, it was bit tight

It’s happened in sport forever. It’s only kicking off as England may suffer

Nobody to blame but England themselves

All opinions I suppose, I wasn’t comfortable at all with it, I’m not alone.
What about Roy dropping that dolly which allowed Pakistan to get a score that was too much for England?

It’s englands own incompetence that the table is as it is
