Cant remember the last Sunderland manager the fans truly got behind. For sure a few provided the short term miracles the club needed to salvage Premier survival. But

This is where there is a disconnect. No enlightenment is possible as to why Newcastle fans had a relationship with Rafa that Sunderland fans will understand. That is because we are Newcastle and Sunderland fans. Read the neutral football concensus though & there is agreement that Benitez made Newcastle a far better team than the resources provided.
All that through the tears

Record signing and one of the greatest budgets ever used in the championship. Do you think before you post?

I take it back, you have to be a 40 year old virgin still living in ya ma’s box room.

Benitez fed your lot sound bites and the vast majority lapped it up. He has a terrible win ratio even after winning the championship. He played games with no intent to win at all. He has wasted (read this in a Donald Trump voice) millions and millions and millions on rubbish players. Then he jumps ship for double pay in China but it's Ashleys fault?:lol::lol:
The gift that keeps on giving ;)

Hughton was a great guy - but most of the games under him were in the Chumpionship where of course we are going to win a bigger % .

So not really a valid comparison....

It works something like this ...

  • NUFC PL win % :- 25%
  • SAFC PL win % :- Not applicable
  • SAFC Turd Div win % :- Not enough
  • NUFC Turd Div win % :- Not Applicable .
Nuff said.....
I agree with this, as a person he seems a class bloke. Mind when he was the manager of Newcastle I naturally had to hate him, when NUFC got rid of him, I could like him again.;)

This'll help us mate. We're obviously too thick because we concentrate on 'facts' and 'statistics'.

"Top manager, top club, top fans"

And they wonder why football supporters up & down the land call them deluded... top clubs win trophies, good in terms of numbers yes, but the pig pen is as silent as most PL grounds these days.

Though no fanbase does meltdowns quite like our nearest & dearest.

You see mate, this is a prime example of why we don't understand.

It's all about the 'relationship' the paella server had with the 'nayshun' - it's no good bringing objectivity to a good old sobbing session.

Thick as fuck the lot of them when it comes to football mind.

Thank God I'm Sunderland through and through and not one of the deluded masses north of Tyne (or a turncoat from south of it)

Their sense of self entitlement, to be "deserving" of something is quite frankly astonishing.

Best of all they can't grasp that fans of other clubs are pissing themselves at their latest hysterics.

Again, what manager will touch them lot? Unless this take over happens, the club are in for a long summer. The transfer window also shuts early this year so time is running out.
This is like a car crash episode of a soap. It's great.

I predict whoever's the next manager will comfortably keep them up without spending a fortune, thus proving Rafa was nothing special at all, if it's someone who actually isn't frightened to try and win a few games he might actually improve them.

This...their squad should have easily been in the top ten..

Vieira might do canny as would Dyche but can't see them paying the compo for him, would imo do no worse than El Mesero
