No need to read most of it-its about Moyes & how he failed at Man Utd. But the writer pauses for reflection towards the end & brings to attention the admirable job Rafa did at Newcastle. Which has been the general appreciation of all but Sunderland fans. Strange how one set of supporters at one club seem to be contrary to everyone else.
Bedtime Benji,

Those rafa single bedsets will be available at Sports Direct for £1.99, save your mam washing yours.

#wego

Has a humanitarian crisis been declared with The Nashun on the march?

Was hoping Hank would explain his misunderstanding of Rafa reign at Newcastle. At the very least his direct response would prevent other posters having to necessarily twist the point away from his original statement in order to save face.
Not #WEGO maggot?

I honestly don't get all this Rafa bollocks. The mags moan about Ashley not giving him money but whatever he did give him he mainly spent on dross. He broke the club's transfer record on someone who couldn't score, his football was as negative as a David Moyes interview. He got them relegated ffs. The bloke DID NOT SIGN A CONTRACT, what was Ashley meant to do?
Benetiz is a big name who has managed at big clubs and in the mags bizzare world only the top managers in the world can be appointed there

Have to disagree with you on that last point. I’ve seen enough on twitter over the past few days from fans around the country who are of the opinion that Rafa did an OK/reasonable job. Nothing more.

My opinion is he presided over your relegation when you had winnable fixtures, I don’t buy for one second that he joined a sinking ship, I’m sure when he took the job he was confident that he could keep you up.

You retained a strong squad in the championship and added to it with the likes of Gayle and Ritchie and got promoted as expected but by and large the football wasn’t great/entertaining.

And then he guided you to two PL survivals but again, the style of play wasn’t easy on the eye. Granted I watched you a couple of times towards the end of last season and the football on show had improved, he seemed to have allowed the team to play with a bit more freedom.

I’ve got no axe to grind with Rafa btw. He’s clearly a talented manager and his CV speaks for itself. I just don’t buy that he worked a miracle at the toon. He delivered what was expected with a style that was mainly negative.

What I can't believe is that we haven't seen exclusive news regarding the Saudi buyer conglomerate for the takeover.
Am I being entirely cynical here by suggesting it isn't happening?
If there is a buyout, I'll shut the funk up.
