I saw this story yesterday and decided not to post it as it would be the same old arguments yet again.
Human nature really pisses me off. I see cycling as being on the cusp of a great leap forward with the advent of electric bikes and the need to find alternatives for short journeys, then you get c*nts riding their bikes with no hands, pedestrians using mobiles and using headphones on busy roads and pavements
The pedestrian was on her mobile not the cyclist.
Sets a dangerous precedent this case.... it’s like phone zombie central in Newcastle on my commute into work.
The judge called it about right. Both at fault.
It wasn’t a country lane mate.Probably just doing her internet banking
Probably just doing her internet banking
“Even where a motorist or cyclist had the right of way, pedestrians who are established on the road have right of way.
FfsHere you know what I would do Chunks, if I was cycling and I saw a pedestrian with their phone out? You know what i’d do?
I’d pull the phone out of their hand and throw it on the floor.
And walking. And mobiles. Its time to ban cycling, until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on
