Being pissed isn't a problem. It's the stupid stuff we do when pissed is the problem.

One thing that springs mind is, I was out with my then girlfriend years ago. She didn't have a penny to her name, so the night was on me. Towards the end of the night, I went for a piss. Never came back. Seemingly I went home. She tried ringing me but I never answered. She had to beg numerous strangers for money to get a taxi home. I was days trying to get back in her good books for that one.
