He’s played about 6 good games. I remember a media frenzy over Reece Oxford, Ravel Morrison, Tom Davies, Rob Holding ....
Didn’t Longstaff play when you went on a good run ? Naturally that’s going to make a player look better than they actually are. I wouldn’t pay much attention to the Man U forum, the majority of them couldn’t point to the city of Manchester on a map of Britain.

Yes, as I say he was the best player for us in all but 1. That's not just my opinion, but the opinion of the majority of fans (although I have zero proof to back this up aside from ronny gill polls and forum polls) and pundits.
So you can look at it a number of ways, he rode the crest of the wave, or he helped to create that wave. I firmly believe that he was instrumental in orchestrating that wave. Which as a young lad thrown in to a team that was pretty shit at scoring, decent defense but lack luster in attack, (maybe low on confidence???) then his arrival, aswell as a couple of other factors creates a winning team that looked dangerous, it must have had something to do with him.. To be the standout player means he must have something about him.

I am with you though, 6 games,,, He needs a hell of allot more before we can start calling for England squads and "next Carricks" etc.

I can't say I can spot a good player from a mile away, but there is definitely something about this lad, Time will tell.

Head in Sand
:lol::lol:

More hope than denial. But what ever work.

A mag has just told me this....

There is no takeover, Rafa is leaving and Pardew is coming back.

I actually told him to fuck off while laughing but he was being deadly serious.

I hope he’s right.
Did he happen to tell you why he believes this (the Pardew bit)?

f***ing hell, I’d be on the vinegars if that happened. The meltdown from that with the rumours of a potential takeover and new hope of getting rid of Ashley, to having Rafa leave and replaced with that smarmy prick. Unbelievable.

It would be confirmation Ashley genuinely gets a kick out of winding them all up. I think Rafa will leave them regardless, if a takeover comes about they’ll appoint a new manager, not Mourinho though.

Ashleys not that daft. There'd be mutiny and people would actually stop going. No chance.

Also why would the Mag know the Pardew bit?

Pardew would be a good fit though.

By strange coincidence a mackem has just told me this.....

The takeover is by Ellis Short, Ross is leaving (though he was happy about that) and Moyes is coming back

I actually told him to fuck off while laughing but he was deadly serious.

I hope hes right
