Jordan Henderson

I really don't want to stop this Henderson Appreciation Society as it is lovely and please keep it going but one thing I want to bring to your attention.

He plays for LIVERPOOL. He does not represent Sunderland anymore. Neither the club nor the city. That now is only where he just happened to be born in. That is where it begins and ends for me. Everything else about Jordan is Liverpool.

Sometimes I think Sunderland fans put too much emphasis on the fact a player was born in the city. Why?

Beyond tedious

Don't be daft man!

Sunderland lad
Sunderland supporting family who still live in region (i assume)
Came through Sunderland academy
Played for Sunderland

Of course he represents Sunderland. His upbringing, schooling and nurture at the academy have made him the player he is. He is a product of the region and the club.

Great to see a lad from Greater Newcastle actually lifting the European Cup.

He did an interview at the World Cup after the Colombia with Pickford where they referenced that they were both Mackems

That isn't true in the slightest

Like most football fans, they are fickle as fuck.

There were plenty on radio phone ins when they weren't winning every week saying "he's not worthy of a Liverpool shirt, we should be signing Barcelona's best players"

We usually have Radio 5 on when travelling back from away games and often turn it off due to shite spouted by the "fans"

He plays for Liverpool, but will always be a Sunderland lad. He represents the academy / club / area and always will in my eyes

Was nice seeing him celebrate with his dad at the end, well deserved and a great moment
