I'm a Mackem, me dad is a scouser. Have followed Liverpool all my life whilst having a season ticket with Sunderland. Must have been to Anfield 100 times to watch them with the old fella but when to two teams meet its separate ends.
Could not be more chuffed to watch a Mackem legend lift the European Cup tonight.

Not going to lie, wanted spurs to win, but had a massive smile on my face watching him lift the European Cup. So many of us will have watched him coming through, from going to youth games and the likes, seeing him come to support us in 2014 shows he is very much still one of us, and I'm f***ing buzzing for the lad. Now then Hendo, you might have won the Champions League, but have you ever won league one? Come home and add another to the cabinet ;)
Spot on....I had a tear in my eye but wanted Spurs to win....Really like Danny Rose he one of us even if it was one season...

Pleased for the lad, but the one downside is there'll be young kids watching last night from Sunderland who will use Henderson as an excuse to start following Liverpool instead of SAFC.

He was hardly like to win the European cup with Sunderland was he

When he lifted it, gave me a cold shiver all over, can’t wait till Honeyman lifts it in Baku in 10 years time for us
f***ing hope we dont have honeyman for another ten games let alone ten years

He is going to end up with 80-90 England caps as well. To think some people didn't rate him when he was with us.

Aye they are all jumping ship and joining Liverpool now!

Very few academy players stay at that 1 club for their whole career do they.

Lessons have been learned from the past. If any leave, they leave with a sell on clause.

I really don't want to stop this Henderson Appreciation Society as it is lovely and please keep it going but one thing I want to bring to your attention.

He plays for LIVERPOOL. He does not represent Sunderland anymore. Neither the club nor the city. That now is only where he just happened to be born in. That is where it begins and ends for me. Everything else about Jordan is Liverpool.

Sometimes I think Sunderland fans put too much emphasis on the fact a player was born in the city. Why?
