Just opened a bottle of the small start up that is the Felling brewery's latest release, Cotton of The Boink Swatter. Not bad for a pale ale, has a bit of a rhubarb aftertaste

Congratulations, you've attained level one. Careful though, you'll be hunting obscure, double dry hopped limited release NEIPAs at 9 quid a can before you know it.I've stayed off the craft beer thing for all this time, thinking it was a bit of a fad, but about a month ago have finally relented and now I'm absolutely loving it. Can't believe beer could be so refreshing! Took me a bit of getting used to, drinking ales out of the fridge, but blimey it's really grown on me!
Haven't tried any American ones, but I'm loving the IPA/LPA British ones with slight hints of fruit on the aftertaste.
Currently drinking a can of Meantime London Pale Ale.
I really like the Vocation Brewery Pride And Joy and Heart And Soul beers, and I quite like Punk IPA as well.
Any others I should be watching out for in the supermarkets?
The local lads are booting it out of the ground lately. As well as Wylam obviously, Box Social Double Lush is properly topper. The Isis put a new 30 litre keg of a Two by Two DDH IPA on on Thursday, it was gone by Monday. I reckon me and Tony from Lou's drank at least half of it over the weekend, there's a keg of it on tap in Lou's now. Even Sonnet, who've always been so-so for me are bringing some great ones out. That Go-Go Juice is lovely.Just opened a bottle of the small start up that is the Felling brewery's latest release, Cotton of The Boink Swatter. This mate is always turning up at my place with ridiculous beers that cost a fortune. Milkshake flavour stouts and all sorts of madness.
No doubt I'll be giving it a try at some point.![]()
Easy tiger, that's level 4 shit. Don't get ahead of yourself.
I'm in no hurry, I'm just enjoying the journey at the moment, trying all the different ones the local supermarkets have to offer, comparing them and deciding which ones I like best.
I feel like I'm back at the place I was with red wine 15 years ago or so. All the enthusiasm but no idea.
A whole new world of possibilities to explore.

That’s not true is it? Supermarkets are stocking a canny wide range these days.It only upsets people who are knowingly drinking piss mind.
Sorry like but everything you can get in a supermarket is piss.

Wheres that marra? . Always looking for things to do to make my visits to Stourbridge area when I visit my inlaws a bit less f***ing horrendous.
We've got this place not far from my house in the West Midlands that a mate swears by. It's only open until 9pm and has little rooms available for hire and a main communal room, and it's like a cross between a bar and a shop - you can drink there or take it away - so you can go and sample loads of weird obscure beers and buy the ones you like to take home.

Beer round there is great and usually have to consume loads to get us through the hideousness of the visit - I l love that Enville ginger.
Near us a new craft brewery opened yesterday with a tap room (only open fri and sat). Vibrant forest.
The beer is amazing.
Aye, sorryVibrant Forest didn’t just open yesterday mind
Unless you mean the tap room specifically.
