Roker Rapport Podcast: With Stewart Donald (Tues 28th May)

I haven't listened to the podcast but it's not Methven or Donald's fault (nor their place) to be commenting on tactical issues. If the SMB is happy for Donald to sign the players and pick the team then they'd be within their rights to question the signing and tactical set up.

utterly ridiculous line of questioning.

For what it's worth - everyone was buzzing about the Grigg signing. It goes wrong and all of a sudden the SMB thinks Donald/Methven should have known better.

You should listen to it before commenting. No, it probably wasn’t the best set of questions on Grigg and it was nigh on impossible for them to answer properly. But that was a supporter asking proper questions from the heart and what a lot of supporters are asking. Donald dealt with it professionally and politely. Methven, again, went on like a bully, tried to belittle the interviewer with his ‘man in the pub’ jibe and was quite rude.

'In hindsight I would have tried harder to keep Josh maja'

Scary that Stewart didnt see what he brought to the team. Everybody else did.

I think given the amount of goals he scored and what he's said previously and they way they offered him what he asked for and were even being lenient regarding other clubs coming in for him in the future the I think it's obvious he did.

Maybe he's saying that because he's now spunked even more money on Grigg and has the benefit of hindsight where he thinks chucking money at Maja might have made some difference?

That's a blatant lie and you know it.

It is an exaggeration, but I think based on his record in league one, most will have thought it was a decent signing.

And the interviewer didn’t really ask ‘why did you sign him?’. He more or less asked why Ross wanted him if he then didn’t have a system to play him in.

Wasn’t really a question that Donald could particularly answer but the differences responses of the two owners was very telling.

If you have the time to listen to this I would definitely recommend it, it’s been my favourite podcast by a mile. The host did a very good job imo, think the grigg question was impossible to answer for the owners and I understood CM reaction. I’m still behind SD 100% I honestly can’t see how the bloke isn’t genuine. Must deliver promotion next season though.

Donald wants to stay which is good to hear imo. This is regardless of potential investors coming in. Wants to make the club successful.

Tip for anyone who has yet to listen. Set your podcast app or YouTube playback speed at 1.5x speed or at least 1.25

Donald will speak at a normal speed and you'll save a lot of time
