It was embarrassingly quiet. I can't get my head around people getting upset by these comments.

There no bullshitting the fact it was quiet. I was sat bang on half way line and you really could tell the difference like night and day.

Everyone needs to get their head around fact that turning up and getting so drunk you can't be arsed is not 'best fans in the land'
Maybe the club could have done more to put like minded people, those who want sing together, rather than the shambolic way tickets were released again.

He's probably still upset because people don't like his trousers. Hopefully in time he will get over it.
i will buy him a pair of Farahs and he will look top notch...on second thoughts after today's comments he can keep buying those cheap red ones

I don't think there is a crowd in the country that make loads of noise if nothing is happening on the pitch. Fans create an atmosphere at the start but something has to happen on the pitch , if the football is sterile it transmits to the support at every ground. I've only seen Sunderland 3 or 4 times this season , you can't fault the players for effort but seem to lack creativity. Sunday there wasn't much to get excited about but when you got going you were mighty loud but it wasn't often. We are not in the same league club size wise , we would have done well to take half as many if Wembley was in the north. What we do have is big potential to an owner with a bit of ambition.
I've been to Man City several times with the lads and it's been as quite as a library until they have had something to sing or shout about so can't understand what the Knacker is twisting about

Still grates me that a bloke who said his ideal dinner guest would be Margaret Thatcher, had the audacity to strut around the pitch in front of the colliery banners like he was king ding. Whatever your politics that’s just being a prick.

And I can’t believe the Durham Miners went along with it. Given their stance on Di Canio I found it a little strange to say the least

According to Charlie methan we were quiet at London what a thing to say 34000 fans were there watching drab boring directionless football only 2 months after 40000 off us were at Wembley watching us completely bottle it against Pompey ! We have had to endure the worst season in our clubs history only 4 goals scored in last 7 games , the fans have been terribly let down by Ross,s drab boring tactics . I wonder why we quiet . Watching that .

Thats because The Mags weren't in London you gravy stained cockwomble.

Correct. The atmosphere was shit in our end. Just as it was in the Checkatrade.

I will admit that I'm not the most vocal of supporters these days but I was at least trying on Sunday but felt like the only one in my block joining in.

Not sure what the solution is as a lot of it comes back to a lot of supporters just waiting for the let down.

This needs to happen. We had pockets of fans wanting to sing and support the team amongst those that just sat and did nothing. It's really hard to get something going when the majority around you are not interested in backing the team.

I'm the same, I'm hardly a song starter myself. But in 225 block I felt I had to try and do something but I just stood by myself looking like a tit.

If you need a performance from a team to make you sing at a cup final at Wembley, you're way off. The supporters should lift the team, not the other way around. People moan about draws, negative tactics, the one thing we can control, is the atmosphere. Yet you want to blame everybody else. Prawn sandwich brigade at its best.

We were shit. They were better. We created no chances.

We were quieter than them. And Dinnar why he brought it up but we did sell less. That’s all true and there’s definitely counter arguments to be made but there all facts.

I think the fans have suffered a lot but actually that doesn’t entitle us to anything. People seem to think that we’re ‘due’ something because of our loyalty but that isn’t how it works. Ultimately it’s a club we’re all part of so we all have to work our what’s went wrong.

Anyway like I said, nothing can be done now. I’m over criticising the players. Had the convo too many times in work today . Time to plan and bring the right people in.

No-one has said that we're entitled or due anything but he has f***ing right to have a dig at people who may not have been able to afford to attend, for example. He's the one who comes across as entitled.

Are people not getting this.
Sunderland fans are sick of being losers.
Sick of getting one goals starts and sitting back.
They know that the manager is defensive minded and they also know that the defence is as weak as piss...how does that work.

Sick of the awful record at Wembley.
The fans have every right to be nervous!

I think every single word he says is true.

You lot are so convinced we are the most amazing fans ever that when someone dare even suggest we are not, it's like a personal insult.
We don’t believe in them, I think that is obvious

Well you don't as you always wanted an Awab.

Stops disagreements between those wanting to stand and those wanting to sit as well.

He has no right to criticise the fact we were a few thousand short. Do you think we needto take a look at ourselves? What have we done wrong?

He wasn't saying that when he was wanting records to be broken left right and centre, was he?

This was me up in the Gods. Shouted myself hoarse but nobody else were particularly vocal. Saying that it was actually a little better than the Checkatrade I thought.

Changing where the away fans are in the SOL took a lot of sting out of the atmosphere at the ground which hasn’t helped.
That mixed with absolutely gutless performances and successive relagations.
