we’ve turned up in masses all season and two of our biggest games in recent years we’ve failed to show. Give us our dues the lack of numbers at home to pompey was made up by those that were there, but the fans at Wembley were a f***ing disgrace.

It was the shape. He put that shape with 3 holding midfielders in to get a 0-0 against Pompey and it worked. Power has played that role as the advanced midfielder a few times and cant do it. He sent a team out that could not create chances and that is why I felt so flat before the team came out and Im sure there were others like me. My heart literally sank when i saw the team.

Its one thing to fail but another to fail without going for it. It was a thoroughly depressing team he sent out.

I felt as flat as anything when I saw Ross had sent a team out to go for 0-0. The only person not going for it was the manager and the Board should acknowledge or address this.

I hear Ross is staying, not impressed at all. Threw promotion away. Weak in every department from recruitment onwards. The only reason we finished top half was down to individual excellence by Maja and McGeady, and the keeper. I’m old enough to never expect anything in life or SAFC,but when I sit down stare outside and think I did expect better this season and most of all after the first game thought we will go up even after watching Ozturk and Loovens. This season for me has been probably the biggest let down and ask Who bought the five centre backs ? Why was Honeyman made captain, why does he even get a game ? What did he see in Sterling Morgan Dunne Power Grigg Wyke etc to think they can play ?Why did we constantly drop off and try to defend a lead after scoring first ?? That’s it I can’t be bothered with any more to say at this time .

Matthews should have played right-back to allow O'Nien further forward, other than that I agree. Could maybe a case for Gooch ahead of Honeyman too, with Maguire in the number 10 role.

Yes, he had plenty of options - its not a case of bringing in world beaters. But playing the 3 holding midfielders was an attempt to replicate the 0-0 against Portsmouth - a shape that created zero chances. I was livid before kick off - coming all this way for the 2nd time and having a manager set us up for 0-0.

MASSIVE club. I hate this whole “my clubs bigger than your club” shite but even charlton fans wouldn’t suggest that them having more supporters on Sunday makes them a bigger club. Ridiculous.

We think we're the best fans around, but, by God, some of us are certainly the most thin-skinned. He's right in a lot of what he says; our size is immaterial if we don't perform on the day. His comments about the attendance were tactless, but that's far from an uncommon trait. Rather than throwing a hissy fit, isn't the best response to prove him wrong?
