the two of whom? juan wasnt on a podcast? I think SD was asked about how it was going and said something like Juan got ahead of himself..SD is not accountable for what Juan promises..

On both podcasts. The both of them. Referring to more than one hence the use of the word ‘both’.

SD is not accountable for what Juan promises. But he can be asked about what the current position of one of our owners is and as the thread is asking for questions, my question was posted. And it was directed at the OP not kildaremackem the wise

You're not giving up are you mate?

You keep responding to any post that is vaguely critical of the club or SD with assumptions - not facts.
And your responses always minimise the blame / responsibility of the club no matter what the circumstance.

This issue has been raised on here since kids started leaving for compensation payments - coincidentally after the takeover.

Aren't you curious to know the truth?
Don't you want it cleared up once and for all?
Wouldn't you like my assumptions to be proved wrong with an unequivocal response by a named responsible officer from the club?

If you believe the club has acted with complete propriety why not add yourself to the request that this is cleared up by the club in the forum they facilitated with the fans to answer fans questions and to ensure that communication replaced assumption due to the lack of information?
I am curious to know the ttruth. All ms aying is-yes it happened after the takeover..but also it happened after we went into league one, after a period where the atmosphere of the club was awful.
I would be more worried if they were leaving for non premier legaue clubs. So it could be the owners policy ir it could be the league we are in. I know the league we are in is a deterrant. no one has shown me anything to indicate the owners are..(the academy kid who has achieved most at SAFC signed a new contract under these owners-thats a fact)

Why did the club and Mr Donald go against it principles overspending, paying over the odds for Will Grigg, when quite clearly the policy of the new ownership was never to fall into that trap again:?:
well the owner will have been advised that was the fari price for grigg...he has someone to tell him that..

Hi everyone,

Please reply to this thread if you've got owt to say and we'll do our best to cover off absolutely everything.

Cheers.

who was on the podcasts? both of whom? it wasnt juan on a podcast-and the last i heard from stewrat on a podcast he said Juan hadnt fone wnything about it and it may have been over exhuberance on his behalf..so ask al the qwuestions you want-but when they have already been answered by SD it detracts from the questions that havent been answered..

Stewart:
Do you intend to retain Jack Ross as manager for next season?
One answer: Yes or No.

(Well, he did say he was going to be brutally honest!)

He's already answered this. Only difference might be if he doesn't retain control of the club.

If he doesn’t realise that doubling the league one transfer record for Will Grigg is a massive overspend without help from outside then I’m not sure I want him anywhere near the club tbh.
He knew that the price was too much but tried to deliver what the manager asked for and wanted to give the club a chance of promotion.

See the posts again here from the mother of one of the children who was 14 / 15 when it happened:

A system set up to fail

I say "read again" because you were all over this thread too.

Well I’ll try and wade through that quagmire of a post and respond.

Donald was on the podcast. He talked, over two episodes (I shall therefore be referring to those podcasts as ‘both’ from now on just for clarity of English language), about Juan Sartori’s enthusiasm. It was mentioned, at length, that there was a desire to tap into a market that hadn’t been tapped into (South American / Uruguayan) for youth development. In BOTH episodes I refer to, the issue was discussed and in the latter episode, the logistics were discussed on how it was potentially going to work. So it wasn’t a tongue in cheek remark otherwise it would have been dismissed out of hand.

For what it’s worth, that wasn’t even the question I was asking; that was used as a point to highlight how enthusiastic Sartori was at the time. The question I put forward to be asked, quite clearly might I add, was related to whether Sartori is still as enthusiastic and if he he going to invest / continue to invest or is that in doubt given we are actively seeking new investment from elsewhere.

But the question wasn’t for you. It was for the OP. I’m not particularly interested in answers from you to questions that I didn’t ask.

you dot know how much he paid/....it was less than reported..and if he is the sort of onwer that overules the manager and DOF then we are fucked...because no manager or DOF would stick around for that..
