No if a player isn't trying I'd expect my manager to deal with it. They wouldnt be in breach of their contact for not trying.

Not really we did that with Maja and off he went, which was worse as we saw what we lost. This way at least we either get him in contract, or he goes untried.

We really need players firing consistently and for that they need game time. Not being fit and out if form with a crap defence stuffed us at the end.

Find a team, get them playing proper attacking football and sort out defence.

Watmore could have done all of that and better, he was the one I wanted to see on the bench.

I think he was unlucky in that it was felt they couldn’t risk having him and Mcgeady both on the bench due to fitness doubts.

With Maja, we got goals and dosh. With BK, we will get neither.

It's not how the league works unfortunately. There is literally 40-odd other clubs in this country alone playing at higher levels. If he's going to go, then make sure its on amicable terms and we at least utilise these players until they do leave.

We're demanding loyalty from lads who have their own interests to think about. That's the unpalatable truth and the sooner we accept it the better. Young players need to make their way up the leagues as quickly as possible. Once they reach 25+, very few step up to higher divisions. It's madness for them to languish in league one. The clubs stance is all wrong in my opinion.

but the team scored abut the same amount-maja got almost al our goals before chrostmas-the same number of goals were spread around the team afterwards..

Not really weird.
Let him go in the summer for free or get 2 million or so for him now and hope to replace him adequately.
Unfortunately grigg has been a big overpriced let down. Hoping he will be better next Yr.
Hindsight is wonderful, but it wasn't a weird decision

i was at wembley on play off final day..just because im realistic about where safc are doesnt mean im not a fan..
still think rich owners should buy safc over leeds?

It's all about money and contracts, if we play a promising young player who isn't tied down and that player improves, they've got us over a barrel just like Maja. My opinion is sign or leave..

But our bargaining position is very poor, the rest of the clubs in this pool understand that. We can take a tough stance when we're a premier league club mate, but not in league one. The league is made up of transient young players putting themselves in the shop window either on loan from higher up the feeding chain or on short term contracts.

We blew our chance for a stronger negotiating platform so we have to learn to live with the consequences of it. Kimpionka should be given the opportunity and if he scores 20 next season, he'll have earned a new contract with another club. Same applies with Embleton.

Who knows, if we get promoted we might even keep them.
