You could see our thirty plus year old midfield was out of gas towards the season end, and wyke although hard working, is limited in his ability. I really wanted JR to say, “let’s try something different”. I know Benji is raw but he would scare opponents defences because he has pace and some height and a bit of ability. Why not hoy him in?

He won't sign a new contract so isn't part of the plans. Looks like the owners and manager only want players who want to be here

As he hasn't agreed to a contract, I think the stance of the club is that no commitment from the player = no game time

Cos he hasn't signed a new contract and we're not going to get done like we did with Maja.
I tend to agree.
Play kimps next season, support him in a few dodgy outings when we're bloodng him and then he starts to look good and goes on a free next June

What was the point of the Sterling signing

Much prefer he developed Benji than bring other young uns in from other clubs

Because Donald has told manager not to play him without a new deal

This has been made very clear

Players can want to be here and also want a better wage or what they feel they're worth. Donald isnt always right... look at man, he says himself he got it wrong.
True but I've no idea what he's been offered. He's done nothing yet is very very raw so I'm not sure what him or his agent are asking for

It's the cutting off your nose to spite your face policy.
Not really - we've been utterly ruined by playing players who don't want to be here. Kimpioka has been OK at best. Imagine putting him on the bench then playing him instead of an unfit McGeady and we still lost - hell on. Its one of those situations where Donald can't win and, on balance, I think his stance is correct.

He set his stall out early on about young lads and their contracts so no argument about it from me.
