Who writes that shite? They've got McNeil from Burnley in holding midfield, Willems who I just looked up as a left back on the wrong side, Torres etc

Anyway, while the Mags will clearly progress, they can't spend huge amounts in a short space of time due to FFP can they? This won't be like Chelsea 2003.
Correct. Even if the Arab lad buys the club and even if he IS as wealthy as he is supposed to be, who says he wants to spunk all his money on transfers even if FFP allowed him to?
They (and we) have had billionaire owners in the past and it guarantees nothing. The days of an Abramovich or a Mansour coming in and pouring millions and millions into a club at will are long gone.

Local rivalry ? It’s going to be a long time before we play them again, they are a million miles away from us now, there’s nothing we can do about it, no point in worrying about it
We’re not even close to them and that’s before a takeover. It was only a matter of months ago our first team was playing their reserves and could be again next season. We have a long long road back and after seeing that playoff final today it could be a very long tine before we see the PL again.

The deluded inbreds be thinking or he related to man city's owner we get load of their surplus players not realising they in competition now so be ne help from city

I’ve got mates who were Newcastle fans in primary school in the mid to late 90s and only became Sunderland fans because their parents bought them part time season tickets at Xmas when we moved to the stadium of light. They deny to this day they ever supported the mags but they did, we will lose potential fans to Newcastle no doubt about it.
I was 9 when Keegan founded the Mags in 92. My school in Shields was 50/50 between us and them, within a year we were vastly outnumbered by Mags.

If you were a sheikh and did fancy a crack at it then you would probably consider them Everton or West Ham. I’d go for West Ham myself due to the location but yeah they would pip Everton due to the stadium issue with Everton
Aye, if it were me I'd definitley go for a London club. Darras Hall might be nice but it's not a fuxking patch on the best places on London

An oil billionaire prince isn’t paying £350m for the mags to watch them piss about the bottom half after flirting with relegation for a couple of months. This will vastly improve them. There’s way too many fuckwits on this forum in pure denial. ‘Luton will lose form’ etc etc

Of course it improves them to Everton levels.

They won't break top 4

Yeh they will improve but it isnt guaranteed to bring them any success in the form of trophies. I can see them being similar to Everton standard wise for a few years at least, the top 6 is miles ahead then add in wolves and Everton themselves who have a good backing and it's looking even harder.
What will be will be.

Full statement: “In response to the numerous reports in the world media this morning, we would like to comment as follows:
We can confirm that representatives of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed al Nahyan are in discussions with Mike Ashley and his team, about the proposed acquisition of Newcastle United Football Club. We view it as an honour to have the opportunity to build on the strong support, history and tradition of the club. We have agreed terms and are working hard to complete the transaction at the earliest opportunity.” #NUFCTakeover

Fuck it's happening

Calm down everyone, the top 6 is sewn up for the foreseeable future unless a new owner is prepared to take a massive gamble and throw half a billion in the transfer kitty on top of the £350m purchase price. All this will mean is that they’ll guarantee survival a few months earlier and may finish 7th or 8th.
