There was nothing in the stands yesterday but us the fans had nothing to shout about the players were next to useless.

so you go to support your team ,then spend all the game sleeping off the ale ."as seen on skysports"

this is the supporter of the age ,pathetic,
For god sake take a look at yourself ,turn a corner ,it is not good for the club,or your own self.

Clean up ,take a holiday and come out fighting for next season .

BIN THE DRINK.
As seen on Sky sports. Says it all

Were we?! Not from where I was. Both sides had spells where they would have a go and the others would be quiet.
you probably were standing close to other sunderland fans

but the noise on the telly throughout was predominantly charlton

even after we went one up

there was even a feeling of we are going to get beat when we went up

armchair views i know but thats what it looked like

Spaced out idiots in our row in 211.

In, out, in, out, in, out all through the match. One kept hugging me on the way past which I didn't like. One kept taking his top off. The language was utterly vile. I don't expect purity and the bairn knows she will hear swearing but this was just one long tirade of swearing and inappropriate comments. An older man told them to behave several times as my daughter could hear but they seemed to think they had a right to behave like that. Utter morons.
I’m sure there was a bloke on coke in front of me. He kept leaving his seat every 10-15 minutes and came back eyes bulging singing songs into his mate’s face.

well if that means i didn't go to wembley twice in a month

drank a gut full of piss

and wasn't even able to properly f***ing digest how shit we were on two occasions

and allow pretty crap opposition to boss us about

then

you are probably right

Wow
My dad and bro who watched it said the exact opposite.
I'll watch it later.
In the ground it sounded like They did allez allez 3 times, in the period before half time after they scored.
We had several times when the whole of our side were singing various chants.
Not saying we were amazing, but thought we were canny tbh

Think it was.
I normally go ape shit, but didn't really know what was going on and I did jump about a bit, but nowhere near like what I usually do

It was pretty awkward in 504. A fair few of us were singing along but others around just death stared at us.

The one in 2014 wasn't TS man!
98 we went to TS.
It's good to party the night before. Only fun we had all weekend.
And its not pisssd blokes being quiet, it's rows of gimps who look like theyve never had a, drink, sitting there not knowing the words even if they wanted to join in

Pretty ignorant comment. I don’t drink, never have, never will. I still sing my heart out at games though.

I have no problem with fans going out the night before and not being in full voice during the game. The team don't exactly give you much to get excited about. Even the goal was difficult to cheer properly.

A lot of fans went down to enjoy the full weekend not just 90minutes of rancid football.

I think people forget that the first 15-20 mins the atmosphere from us was good, then you could visibly see us getting deeper and deeper again and people start to question why and it creates that here we go again feeling.

Charlton were getting then corner after corner so were rightly so becoming louder as they could see their team were back in the game. Once they scored they were loud, as we had been.

During the game their were periods where we got behind the lads and periods where they got behind their team. Did they sing more than us, I think they probably did but some of the noise from our end was loud as well, like someone has mentioned when we were getting forward and looking dangerous we were vocal.

Should we support the team whether we are on the front foot or the back foot, yes! However, it's hard to do so watching the negative tactics and a lets see if we can hold onto this 1 nil lead for 85 minutes attitude.

I think it was the nature of the goal. They were playing a reply of the chance we'd just had on the screen. My eldest was talking to the little one about that and neither of them realised we had scored. My brother said the same afterwards.

Yet still can't wait to have a pop at those who did go?
Thanks for the heads up on the atmosphere from your TV screen, really needed the update.
Quite hypocritical I would say.

Exactly

Why screens shouldn't be in football stadiums.

I thought early on we were decent atmosphere wise and then for about a 10 minute spell in the second half (culminating in the sign your hearts out for the lads chant). In between, we were quiet.

It was ridiculous. We were saying it would be typical Sunderland if that was the only match winning Wembley goal in our lifetime

Their tactic of putting a group of singers at the back of the lower tier seemed to work btw. I think Palace did that too when they were there.

I think its about balance mate, a few beers are fine but some people just go way over the top. When Charlton gifted us the goal a bloke across from us fell forwards and smashed through 2 rows in front of him, hurting a couple of fans in the process. He just lay like a dead body until people picked him up. Another lad near us spent most of the game swaying about, battling to keep his eyes open & spewed up on himself either side of half time. The 2nd time he staggered off & wasnt seen again. Its not fair on other fans when people cant handle their drink & other fans have to put up with the side effects

This.
