Lower half of 120 here. Quiet at times but not for the want of trying from a couple of us.

If you looked around though, many an old man, young kid, young couples etc etc. Not sure how we compare to other teams in terms of an age profile but might it not just be the case that we no longer have those die hard fans who will shout and sing at everything?

Are we more a family club than most?

Yes. Highest % of female season ticket holders every year in the top flight. Not saying its a bad thing but the make up of our support has changed massively. You realise it more when you see the types of support coming to the SoL this season.

Lad behind me threw up and fell asleep second half. His mates were no better all smashed and couldn’t string a sentence together. I went to trafalgar last night, had a few beers and enjoyed relaxing on the steps watching the crowd and was back in the hotel for 11.

What’s the point of paying all that money to come down and support them when all you’re wanting to do is hoy as much drink down ya as possible, might aswell stay back home and watch it in town.
block 525?

The demograph of the SAFC fan has changed massively since the 70's when I started going. The crowd used to be a majority of heavy engineering lads from the pits, shipyards etc and many were hardened manual workers, the younger fans today are from call centres and offices, and not as rugged by comparison, and as has already been stated many seats occupied by women and small children. I'm not knocking them, people just need to realise it's not the same as it used to be. And nowhere near as raucous. My voice has disappeared this morning, as it did after the Checkatrade, and I have no doubt some others are the same, but its not the same numbers doing it, and we're spread across he stadium. The negative team tactics don't help mind.

Spaced out idiots in our row in 211.

In, out, in, out, in, out all through the match. One kept hugging me on the way past which I didn't like. One kept taking his top off. The language was utterly vile. I don't expect purity and the bairn knows she will hear swearing but this was just one long tirade of swearing and inappropriate comments. An older man told them to behave several times as my daughter could hear but they seemed to think they had a right to behave like that. Utter morons.

I was there with my family (wife and two kids). I was stone cold sober, as I was for the EFL Trophy final, and again I have no voice left. Gave it everything I had.

I think it’s certainly true to say there are quite a few day trippers when we go to Wembley, which is why we need our ‘lads’ at it. That said, I don’t think the atmosphere was anywhere near as bad as some are making out. If you expect singing all the time then I can perhaps see why you think that but I don’t. There are always quiet spells in games over here. Charlton has plenty as well.

f***ing hell. The drink is the single thing that gets our support going..

You dont follow us much do you?
I think its about balance mate, a few beers are fine but some people just go way over the top. When Charlton gifted us the goal a bloke across from us fell forwards and smashed through 2 rows in front of him, hurting a couple of fans in the process. He just lay like a dead body until people picked him up. Another lad near us spent most of the game swaying about, battling to keep his eyes open & spewed up on himself either side of half time. The 2nd time he staggered off & wasnt seen again. Its not fair on other fans when people cant handle their drink & other fans have to put up with the side effects

There was nothing in the stands yesterday but us the fans had nothing to shout about the players were next to useless.

Didn’t even celebrate the goal properly

we sound a bit rattled because we got out sung by Porstmouth and Charlton

too much piss, too much boring football

move on ffs

You don’t even support us FFS :lol:

I was at the back of 109 just under the roof and the lads singing in there were class.
