we know from the published accounts its not an safc loan..and its not a secured loan to madrox. we also know the owner isnt selling.

anyone who quotes hystericaly daily mail articles that are verifiablly full of lies is being quite dramatic.
If an offer that suits the owner comes in he will sell, don't kid yourself

I've never thought anything other than these guys are here to make money and suspected they will be off as soon as they deem it is as profitable as they can make it.
They're not Sunderland fans. Sunderland isn't getting under their skins. They are businessmen nothing more nothing less. I'm sure they are enjoying the ride too though. They seem to be.

If they get us up and sell to a party who can invest then I'm more than happy with the arrangement.
did people think ellis was an sfac fan? the the drumaville lot (apart from quinny)

yes of course-same as every owner in the world-but they arent planning to sell and will all be here next season.

I think people did yes.
people thought ellis knew what safc was before he bough the club? talk about deluded..he bought it at a gold torurnament.

Well that's a bit silly if they made 25 million say, they've effectively stolen the last parachute payment
how? the para money went orto SBC corproateion-they paid £40m for the club..nowt has changed.

minus the millions they are putting into cover losses..

Imagine the metdown on here during the Cowie and Batey saga, with Bob Murray suddenly stepping out from the shadows.

The millions they are putting in!? They aren't putting huge amounts in

So am I to take it that we're now going to have a ban on buying the Daily Fail like there's a ban on buying The Scum in Liverpool?
Excellent.

but its not is it-they didnt use the para money for themselves-it went into the club-to pay debts of the club-nowt to do with them at all..the £25m was promised to sbc and thats where it went,..

well the club is losing money every day its open-who do you think is funding that? the point is the club is massively cash flow negative-that means day to day there isnt the cash to pay the bills...the owners are doing that.

No but if they sold in the summer say, they would effectively bought the club for peanuts and taken money out of the club that they never put in.

how? they put it in when they paid short? the para money didnt go to the owners to pay short-it went to sbc..so the owners paid £40m for the club..

Whatever has happened it would have been better if a consortium of fans had been approached to take over the club imo. Would rather the club was run by the fans for the benefit of fans. If that means we became a run of the mill Championship side then so be it. Apart from the Quinn/Phillips period and a short time with Bent/Jones the time in the PL was mainly a grind.
Wy aye.

I get that, but it's not huge amounts in terms if football. The owners are happy to put this in as they know they will get it back and more.

All the being in the stands. Having a pint with supporters. People believed he had fallen in love with the club. People think the same with all the boozy antics of the current chairman and his mate.

They will be off as soon as the time is right. And that's fine by me as I understand what is going on. But there will be some who feel like a spurned lover.

having a pint etc isnt nescessarily fake-its about the fact they bough the club to enjoy all aspects of it..but i dont understand the concept of "under the skin" its a cliche i dont really get..im not saying its not possible...but stewrat is a man with a young family.other business interests and a life..if safc comes first then he is wrong.

its a huge amount in terms of a league one club-which is what they bought-its a huge amount in terms of a business that has lost so much there wont ever be dividends..and they havent gone anywhere yet..

Isn't that what business and investments is all about? If you see a good deal you go for it and if is leads to a windfall then happy days? If SD & CM are able to sell the club for £80m it will be because the Club have done well and got promoted. They won't sell up whilst we are still in League One.

It appears some Sunderland fans are trying to make a negative out of promotion.
