Muslims threaten teacher over LGBT school lessons...

The Muslim fella on the Sky News clip I saw made his feelings very clear. He said its ok for Christians to sit around a table talking about being gay and lesbian but its not for us lot, we don’t accept it. This has nothing to do with children. This is purely Muslims ignoring the equality rules because it doesn’t match their religion.
His mate also said that God created women created for men’s pleasure.

Its a complete lack of tolerance, understanding and willingness to integrate.

Difficult to argue with that mind.
If he doesn't like it, perhaps he should move somewhere more understanding of his ill-informed opinions.

OR we can try and change his mind. Actually tackle this open bigotry rather than try and shoo it away.

Why is this head teacher and others arguing with the good decent muslims. West Midlands police should shut the school down.
That would be one solution for sure.

Head teacher threatened over LGBT lessons

it escalated today with muslim families withdrawing their children (as young as 4) from school over the curriculum resulting in the school gates being put under police protection in case families were met with escalating protests upon arrival for the start of the school day.

There's even a protesting letterbox!!!

How backward can you get FFS?

And it is the perfect time to do this. Get a discussion going on BBC4 and get the different points of view into the open as well as dispelling the myths surrounding this kind of education. Proper informative debate.

Because it's sure as shit that if we don't then the whole shebang will be hijacked later by the Tommy Lennon's of this world who will turn it into partisan freak show.

Gay kids exist whether their parents like it or not. It will be talked about by kids whether parents like it or not.

Everything they're shouting for was a key part of Tory policy until 15 years ago and UK law until 2000. Section 28 was brought in on the same issue with the same arguments following a media campaign against a kids' book detailing a girl with two dads. It made it forbidden to "intentionally promote" homosexuality in schools and local authorities, giving youngsters no access to education on these topics. The result was to send kids and young teenagers underground in search of information, putting them in the grips of exploiters and teaching them via pornography. The only protective thing to do would be to teach kids that LGBT exists through lessons and books appropriate to their age.

I've posted on here before about this type of thing where Muslims are concerned..I said it before..wait till they get bit of a foothold over here..they'll get a bit braver and start wanting more of their backwards customs in place here..you know it's never something good or cheerful where Islam is concerned.
yep , but sensitivity and political correctness are more important than our grand childrens futures

The flipside to that is that it makes it very difficult to have the conversation we need to have about these values, and with these groups of people, when they are being targeted as terrorists and the enemies of all that is British by extremists and people with an agenda. And of course when those who just want the tanks to be taken off the lawn so we can work on this like grown ups are lumped in with Hamas and Captain Hook from the Finsbury Park mosque
At least one Imam is seeing some sense.Well done that man. We can well do without the extremism

Shaykh Ibrahim Mogra, an imam from Leicester, said he was "disappointed" with the reaction of the protesters.

He said: "We really need to calm down and think very carefully, it is a very very sensitive topic."

Shaykh Mogra said Mr Ahmed's use of the word "proselytising" was very unfortunate, adding: "I don't believe there is an active effort on the part of LGBT communities to try and convert me and others to become gay people. It's something you don't choose into or opt out of.

And given that the local MP and Education Secretary have both been vocal in condemning the protests, this obviously is not the case here. Wouldn't you agree?

That bloke needs a bigger microphone and a ticket to Birmingham
Or an invitation to Question Time.
Or all of the above

Has the actual content of the lesson been put in the public domian. I have no problem with advocating equality whether it be to LBTG or to Muslims or any other group, however i would have a problem if it were promoting lifestyle. If kids turn out to be gay(and some will) of their own volition then fair enough, but it would be wrong to have them being guided in school.
Guided to be gay??? FFS man
People arent gay of own volition, they're either gay or they're not, its not a choice.

It's not a wet, liberal school agenda. It's true that primary schools do not have to give these 'relationship' lessons at the moment but from next year sex and relationship education is becoming part of the national curriculum with children age 4yrs being taught about 'healthy relationships' and parents will not be allowed to withdraw their children from such lessons.
Wet liberal lessons.

Guided to be gay? Ye big bufty.

Why aren’t all our liberals standing up for the lgbt community here? But tricky for them on this occasion maybe?

Probably because the far-right-wingers on here are framing the debate as "Look how backward the Muslims are!" rather than "Look at how backward the homophobes are!", which has left the liberals chuckling to themselves about the irony that probably our most backward section of society is calling someone else backward.
