Point being is someone who doesn't go to matches pays £40 and they're sorted. Don't even have to go to a match so therefore the club is asking those who do spend money to spend more just to be on the same level as someone who doesn't go to any matches.

Even the lumping in of memberships into both phases means that in phase 2 the glory seekers could buy 6 tickets and it sells out and ST holders miss out for their mates and family.

You don't need any points or have attended a single match though. You just need the £40 membership so non SC holders/away attenders are looked at no differently with this setup and they've ignored purchase history completely.

It's simply the club cashing in on the fans for me without actually looking at loyalty in a little more detail. Season ticket holders get into the first phase of anything of course but they shouldn't ignore the purchase history of home attenders and also allow exiles/away fans to build up loyalty and then have the members 3rd in the list of priority at the most.
There's very few who have these memberships. I do agree it's a scam mind.

Bollocks, and I was waiting to get a Season Ticket so didn't bother with membership - ah well, will save me pissing about with flights and what not.

Disgusting from the club tbh they have really let non ST holders down with this.

I don't think I've ever known a sporting event where everyone was happy with the ticketing process. You are sure to annoy someone who thinks they should have more entitlement than someone else.

I've set it up on ticket master so that I can assign tickets to me dad, and not manage. Does that mean I'll be able to purchase for me dad on my account and would tickets be together?

No one knows what a UK membership even is.....they have basically just wiped out everyone's purchase history.
I couldn't have put it simpler than this!

The only way to save some of purchase history was to pay the £40 on a 'gamble' we may get to the playoff final. Some may have not wanted to do this as they would have thought that purchase history was enough to at least get priority after the Season Card holders (given the CAT final requirements).

Yet the club as you say have wiped it out and they aren't seen as being more loyal than a bandwagoner ;)

I'm surprised they've allowed season tickets to get so many tickets before people with a purchase history but no membership.
They've also allowed the 'new' members to get 6 in phase 2 so basically purchase history as @ErichZann mentioned has been wiped for this season

They didn't say you wouldn't get one if you weren't a member.
This!

She supports Man Utd. Why would you deprive a proper Sunderland fan of a ticket, taking someone who just wants to go to Wembley. I’m sorry but there will be many many deserving of a ticket before her

I don't think she's a hardcore dyed-in-the-wool Manchester United fan. She was with me in the BCB for both the final home game with Portsmouth and the 1st leg.
