Not obsessed, oh no

Almost a repeat of last season: battling to avoid relegation, followed by an upsurge and a slew of phenomenal performances. Rafa has once again proved he is the club’s best asset. He has done wonders with a limited budget, masterminded some astonishing victories (Man City at home springs to mind) and vastly improved players such as Salomón Rondón, Ayoze Pérez and Paul Dummett. It’s such a shame Mike Ashley never seems to want more than Premier League survival. 6/10

Stars/flops Pérez has always shown promise but not consistency – however, his performances in the second half of the season have been breathtaking and heartwarming. Rondón has morphed into a defender’s nightmare, while Schär has proved to be a snip at £3m. On the flipside, Kenedy will be very lucky to get back into the Chelsea squad next season, and we’ve barely seen anything of Muto and Barreca.

Biggest surprise Finally breaking our transfer record – which had stood for 14 years – for Miguel Almirón.

Best and worst away fans Huddersfield had a great following. were worst – silenced after our equalisers.

Moment that made you smile Joey Barton-managed Fleetwood snuffing out Sunderland’s chances of an automatic promotion. Our former midfielder would have loved that …

 Wow, as if getting beat off Fleetwood is one of the highlights of their season man!

I'm surprised us losing at Wembley on penalties isn't in there given the reaction from mags I know at the time.

Did we have a chance of automatic?

Joey Barton's Fleetwood "snuffed" it out man

Shows what a huge club they are when beating the league leaders at home is ranked as astonishing.

Fuck me, as if most wouldn't have said similar had the shoe been on the other foot. Posting this drivel just proves how obsessed some are on here about them. I wouldn't have had a clue that'd been written had someone not gone out of their way to read it and find something obsessive within.

I’m pleased he uses snuff now,it would sting the eye but a lot less than stubbing a lit cigar out

Living in Whitley Bay and being the kind of bloke who doesn’t back down from banter/arguments I thought I’d heard every bit of obsession/insult they had but I got a beauty last week. This mag saying that all we had now in our favour was the 6IAR made the parenthesis signal with his fingers when he said 6IAR. I asked why he was doing that with his fingers as 6IAR is a fact. His response was AYE SO YOU SAY.

I’m intrigued as to how you do a parentheses signal with your fingers.

And the point if this post is?

Perfectly put.

This we "relegated them" despite the fact they played 38 games that season.

We both have our share of knackers.

Has to be made up. No mag has ever read the observer.
