I think they would, when do they ever not turn up in big numbers even when they are shite?

This, we are a league 1 side with largely league 1 players.....I suspect the fact some have enjoyed it more than others is some knew what league 1 was like and others thought they would be watching something a bit like the Prem and Championship.
You make a great many sweeping claims Muffin!

I can't really comment on performances of other teams as I have only seen us play regularly. But I have seen us play Portsmouth 3 times this season and their football isn't that great. But small margins and all that..their team is more settled and Jacket seems to know his best 13/14 whereas Ross doesn't even know his best partnerships.
It's been Ross' biggest mistake imo. He still doesn't know his best 11. The chopping and changing at centre half and midfield has been to much.

Oh, I was home for the Barnsley game where we destroyed them in 20 minutes with excellent football. Although I did think Barnsely were a decent team and the best I had seen thus far

So the point you decide to pack in is a play off semi final rather than 2 years ago when we were being Royally shafted and bottom of the league, or last season when the same happened? It is embarrassing, its beyond embarrassing, I just hope I never hear the words "best fans in the land" ever mutterd again as its complete horse shit. I absolutely gaurantee every other club, in every division will get their biggest crowds of the season in the play off semis. We as a club are on for our lowest home gate of the season. That is both embarrassing and a disgrace.

Have to say if I were the owners then I would certainly start questioning what I had got into, they are starting to see what our fans are really like when things dont go their way. Too many self entitled arseholes letting down the brilliant core we have.
fuck me you love to blah on marra, must drive your mates round the bend.

There is a lot to be said with knowing and keeping your starting 11 (even if it does include our friend). That said, I bet the only player EVERYONE can agree on starting every game is the keeper. Maybe McGeady although I have read criticism of him and heard it at the games as well.

As do most people on this forum....Look at the statements about the football "is always lifting" we are "shite", the standard of football is "shite".

At times its lifting, at times its excellent and at times poor.

We are not shite, shite sides dont lose just 6 games in 46. We are a good league 1 side.

The standard of football is not shite, the standard of football in the 3rd tier is below that of the top two divisions but you still see one of the best 50 teams in English football.

Why are you even on this thread ?

To be fair to him I asked him a question which he answered.....Also think the mags on the board have not taken the piss anywhere near as much as we would have if it was the other way round.

Promotion, but no points, hence it is totally different to a league game, which was my original point. How can I be wrong?

It's not totally different to a league game though, is it? The prize at the end is promotion via the league system, the same as Barnsley and Luton have achieved via the regular season.

Indeed people do. But I think speaking for others is folly. You don't know any more than I do what everyone is thinking at any given moment. I would be very surprised if more than a handful know what League 1 was like.
I saw a couple of Charlton league games last season but nowhere near enough to consider myself informed.

Some saddos would watch a game up Thompson Park while out walking the dog mate, just obsessed with football.....Stick a few quid on and any game becomes interesting.
