Up untill last season it was a trip up from Kent, but moved down to Eastbourne last year......just puts an extra 60 odd miles on the journey, and an earlier setting off time.

I know the feeling....my job involves train travel too, and then most of Saturday on one as well to the match, seems like I lived on a train these past 9 months.

the crowds at the checkatrade games were around 8k and the tickets were really cheap.

i can't believe people think £20 is too much. paid more for tickets at the last few away games

Tbh, Saturday night after the game I was debating about not going after watching that pile of shite.

Lasted about a minute, couldn’t face the guilt and not being there to support them. They might be shite but I’ll do my bit.

Give over man, its £20 and the club didnt have an option to reduce ticket prices due to EFL rules.

There is literally no excuse for not going to this game, the idea that you dont turn up to the biggest game of the season because you feel let down by the management and players is frankly laughable.

The irony you use a Wembley final as an excuse given you wouldnt have been there but for those same players should not be lost on you. This team has lost just 6 out of 46 games ffs, if you honestly feel let down I feel sorry for you, your life is going to be full of disappointments.

It’s really poor and beyond fickle .

Two good showings v Pompey and a return to Wembley will see many fickle fans back onside . Sunderland wasnt built in a day and it will never be repaired with people on strike like this .

Eddie Brimson, a Watford thug, wrote in his book something along the lines of no one comes out of the woodwork like Sunderland, but we certainly know how to quickly disappear again. Whilst he was complimenting, it also suggested how fickle we can be.

I remember thinking he was wrong and how loyal we are , but this last week is showing his perception to be reality .

Spot on. A couple thousand made plans/cant afford it etc but to potentially have our lowest crowd of the season for a play off semi is utterly embarrasing.
 
Vitally important we, (players and fans) bust a gut to get out of this league in the next (hopefully) 3 games...whats past is past...and another 9 months in lge 1 will see lower crowds..no matter how much the owners spin it....

There are EFL rules on ticket prices and the minimum is £20.

We also desperately need to move away from reducing ticket prices. In the past it backfired massively and it’s going to take a long time for our fan base to get used to normal pricing

"Sunderland till I die" or until the biggest game of the season costs £20 and its on Sky.........Got slaughtered for calling out the fans for being fannies the other week but if fans abandon the team at this stage then fuck em, they deserve all they get, 3rd rate and little doubt they will need to concede that the Mags are indeed the biggest club with the best fans in the North East. Not a chance they wouldnt sell out for this game, literally none.

so going by your rules. my old man who saw his first game in 1936, isn't a supporter anymore as he was told to leave the stadium before we last played Leicester. this caused him, myself and my daughter to pack in our season cards.
 
I’m going after no end of bother getting a ticket.

Thought it might have been a nice touch to give ST holders a discount after the loyalty we have shown this season
