Sorry, fence can wait five mins.

No, no, no, no, no. No times a million and again no. It doesn't work like that. This isn't a Hollywood movie.

He was unable to prove his innocence. Fact. The jury were unable to prove that he was guilty beyond reasonable doubt. That is not the same as innocent. Not my words. The words of the law.

Look, I f**king hate The Sun but, unbelievably, they have a very good wrapping up of the whole shoddy affair from a barrister.

Also gives a lot more background to the sordid affair which, if you were right-minded enough to consider it, shows why we mustn't go anywhere near this person.
Stick to painting the fence. He doesn't have to prove he is innocent, if there isn't enough evidence to prove him guilty , he is innocent .

One guy mentioned the day after the game and another last Friday. Might well be the bollocks of which you speak, but the two people who said it are not connected. One works at Fleetwood FC and the other is well connected to board members.

Regardless of being acquitted of rape, anyone that would shag a bird immediately after their mate has is a bit of a wrongun and definitely not the kind of off-field character we should be signing.
Don't know much about him apart from the obvious that we have all heard, but although he was acquitted, he does not sound anything like the type of person that we want around the dressing room. Nothing to do with being Squeaky clean, but a bit of moral fibre and not likely to do the same again when he's had a couple of Shandies:cool:

I don't get all this shit about him, found not guilty, so he is an innocent man. We are not talking about asking him round to visit a maiden aunt, or start a bible reading class, we are looking for someone that can kick a ball through a couple of goal posts. If he is the best available then so be it.

Funny how many people are coming out now saying we should've signed him in January. We were pretty chuffed with Grigg at the time.

There's an element of selling your soul to this whole Evans thing. Don't care who he is, all we want is goals.

Griggs appointment was universally praised on here, the only thing I can remember people criticising was the transfer fee..

It was universally praised because we weren’t told that he was injured and we were told we’d got a good deal.

I suspect that had we known then that he wasn’t even fit enough to play as a sub for Northern Ireland over a month after he signed then the praise may have been somewhat diluted.

why? grigg is top class at this level..safc have to change to play to his stremgths..play him in the cirrect position,,,and have a striker alongsode him who complements that..its pretty basioc stuff but JR hasnt grasped it..

Every time we've played two up front we've been gash as fuck

I think it was known he was injured at the time, however how long the injury was going to last for is another matter..

I think Chef Evans will have felt he had some thing more to prove, and talking about expectation, I think he will have had exactly the same level of expectation on him at sheff utd, than what he's had here. Plus what he's been through I'd say he's more than likely to be a tougher character than grigg, in fact I have no doubts about that

Chef Evans man

I'd have him here also. It was 7 or 8 years ago, he would have been a young daft lad getting himself into those situations.

He's now 30 yr old, with all this still hanging over him despite being found not guilty. I'm pretty cure he'll have done a lot of growing up in this time and is probably nothing but professional now and just wants to get on with his career.

Give him a chance as he'll score goals.
