So can we catch Barnsley?

Just seen the goals from the Burton v Barnsley game.

Has there ever been a softer penalty than Barnsley were given yesterday - it was never a foul and not one of their players even appealed.

We'd be above then on goals scored if that shocker hadn't been given.

Update on your thoughts?

Never mind mate, you got 'likes' off the Sima & Jardine twins
I now think you’ll get automatically promoted, and may even chase Luton down. Just good habits of scoring late, turning losses into draws and draws into wins. Barnsley have utterly collapsed in the last few weeks. I thought they’d beat Coventry and draw today.

We will finish 3rd and avoid Charlton in the playoffs, which suits us.

Just goes to show you can't predict a thing in this league ! Burton with (theoretically) nothing to play for, beat Barnsley. Ironically if Burton continue to play as they are they might have a chance of sneaking 6th.

Everyone up to Oxford in 12th are in a relegation battle

You need Portsmouth in there also as they are now our biggest threat for 2nd I reckon. They would be above Barnsley by 1 point if they win their game in hand on them. Though it's actually their 2nd last game they will play that game in hand. All their games involve relegation/play off teams and of course us.

Oxford are safe now as I can't see the 9 teams below getting above them given the fixtures between all those 10 teams. It does shows that even now, most teams the top 4 are playing teams that still have something to play for so owt could happen. As long as we keep winning though and do what the 87-88 team did and won 7 of their last 8 games ;)

Oh yeah good point, I think I didn't include as they looked out of it but think they've won 4 on the bounce now.

Aye they've 4 homes games with 2 against play off contenders and 2 against relegation candidates. Obviously they play us away and their other away game being against Burton (only game really that is nearly a nothing game)

Shrewsbury (A) - WON
Wycombe (A) - WON
Rochdale (H) - Relegation battle
Burton (A) - Outside chance of play offs

Coventry (H) - Same as Burton
Sunderland (A) - Best team in the world
Peterborough (H) - Good chance of play offs
Accrington (H) - Relegation battle

Would be nice for us if they dropped points before they play us and pretty much just focus on the play offs.

Aye our next few games are massive. Last two are bread and butter compared to these and we've only managed to beat one of them (out of the playoff chasing ones) although Peterborough would have been a win if Oviedo wasn't a f***ing clown.
