Travelling by Car to Wembley

Eh?

I wouldn't attempt it mate. You need to leave home by 6am and you'll not get home till getting on for midnight or later if it goes to extra time and penalties. I wouldn't feel safe driving on the way home as I'd be too tired.

Either go by public transport or book a hotel and stop somewhere.
he's parking right outside the ground as well, could take him ages to escape

@ShieldsBlackCat2015 can I make a suggestion as we travel up and down a lot, set off on the Saturday evening as there is next to no traffic on the roads.
Stay at Travelodge at Toddington services south and here is a code that will give you a double room for £25 quid. FF6WGDGD

You will be well refreshed for Wembley and the journey home
I’m going to fall out with you as we’re staying just down from there, looks like we’ll have to be especially careful on Sunday morning

No doubt.

Trying to decide based on this, and the OPs prior posting history, whether its one big whoosh.
If it is a whoosh he's been doing it for years. Round about now there'll be a backlash because everyone's realised he's asked for advice then ignored it.

That said @Ginger John's wireless audio advice went down a treat. Honestly the first time I've seen SBC ask advice, get a reply and say thank you

Just because you have never done it doesn't mean you won't be able to. Just a case of never having had the opportunity to. Remember my trackday last year? Never driven a half million supercar before but got straight in three of them and was fine.

Exactly right mate. If you put your mind to it, anything is possible.

They're just motorway services mate :)

I recommend Woodall though, it's my second favourite services, with Gloucester being top of my list.

I was impressed with Strensham services on the M5 on the way down Bristol. The correct distance away, easy access and plenty of options.

I don't think so. The cat has been well and truly put among the pigeons now. I can see how that's workable actually. Choices, choices. The world is full if them.

Good plan!! I love Smarties. Or M&M's if you have any. No Revel's though. The nut ones may hit me and cause me to crash.

Shit. OK...errrrr..now what. Anyone have any ideas? I do like ASDA's snacks and drinks actually as a matter of fact. It is very handy for my route.

I am thinking maybe this is important. All these changed to motorways and not one thing has ever been done to the motorway services. Go to somewhere like Newport Pagnell and it is like going back in time if you read the reviews on the M1 services on . And it isn't just the M1 service stations I bet. I think not one has ever been touched ever if you look at the place going past, and the level of service offered by staff and the quality of the facilities have no doubt similarly changed one bit. I have become very skeptical about using these things. Anywhere else I can use to buy my food and drink would be very helpful actually in hindsight.

I don't suppose anywhere in the stadium would be wise to use. I remember I went to get something in the stadium for the League Cup final and it was rammed and in fact I was turned away.

Perfect! I love pear drops. Not to tarty. Those acid drops will cause me to lose visibility as my eyes water through the tartness of it.

I was hoping that is another area you good folk can help me with. I want it to be about the occasion and the club where possible. I have "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" because that is our song. I also have "The Final Countdown" because it is something we have waited for since the start of the season when some of us turned up for the game against Stoke City U21 and the moment we have wanted to see has arrived. I was thinking of adding "Que Sera Sera" for obvious reasons. Gabrielle's "Rise" is also good I was thinking because Jack Ross has transformed the team from last season and we have risen so to speak. I have to have on of course "Dance of the Knights" by Sergei Prokofiev.

Can you think of an appropriate song for the occasion?
The Road to Nowhere
Road to Hell
Lost Soundtrack
Rush Hour

Last year I did Sunderlabd to Weston super Mare there and back in a day. It doesnt really bother me but was a good 13 hours behind the wheel. When I worked the distance out in a srtraight line it would have put me in the middle of Switzerland. If it's within your capabilities then fine. If not don't put other people at risk.

Not out of pressure from others to extinguish yet another life goal but I am thinking about coaching it.

Things happened in 2014 about the journey on the coach I want to put right.

Are coach tickets still available?
Did a car follow you all the way down with a confused looking driver googling service station reviews?

To those who are driving down what are everyone's plans (when do you plan on leaving etc) and how do you intend to manage fuel consumption? The last bit I know may sound daft but it is important. I don't want to run out just short of Newport Pagnell.

I am driving down and so far my only plan is to (stupid and perhaps desperate I know) use a coach as a sort of pacemaker. If I keep track of it I know I will get to Wembley in time. I have no idea what time I should be leaving or how many fuel stops I need.
