Brilliant!

I actually gave some good advice and answered your questions seriously if you look back. Not sure what else you were looking for.
#metoo

Google maps, full tank and a reasonable time scale. I then decided to have a laugh while helping out. Some people are so f***ing precious. Me being 1.

Even better, attach a tow rope.
Great thinking. We’re all helping the man but he can’t take us seriously. Us horrible northern bastards

To those who are driving down what are everyone's plans (when do you plan on leaving etc) and how do you intend to manage fuel consumption? The last bit I know may sound daft but it is important. I don't want to run out just short of Newport Pagnell.

I am driving down and so far my only plan is to (stupid and perhaps desperate I know) use a coach as a sort of pacemaker. If I keep track of it I know I will get to Wembley in time. I have no idea what time I should be leaving or how many fuel stops I need.
Grip that wheel tight, 60 mph all the way, stay in the middle lane at all times, never pull over into fbt left lane even if it's empty for miles. Ignore anyone flashing at you to pull over and never, ever overtake anything going slower than you in the middle lane, just stay behind it until it pulls over again.

We'll make a motorway driver out of you yet.

I bet if if was anyone else you would be inundating them with help and advice instead of this shit.

Mods, please delete this thread.
Google maps, apple maps take your choice. Fill the tank before you set off, Depending on the car you’ll get to London on that tank with some spare tbh. Fill up when you get there and you’re all set for the off after the match.

I was driving down but I’ve got issues with my car, so I decided to rent one for the weekend until about 10 minutes a go I booked a train out of Sunderland. Was cheaper than renting one, fuelling it, parking it and possibly the charges of London.

Pass ya test first marra, then get mummy or daddy to buy you a booster seat.
Hopefullly this is a wooosh question otherwise it’s mad that people who drive would ask these question.

Setting off 7am Saturday, going down the A1, A14, M11.....Will be sat in my hotel in Stratford supping my first ice cold pint by 12 noon. Its 275 miles from doorstep to hotel, no fuel stops required, probs stop for a piss at some point on way down but factored that in.

I see. You will be using Leam Lane and then the A194 to get to the A1? I am thinking about doing the same instead of going through Boldon and via the A184 to get to the A194.

I'm not being funny but if you're struggling to get from South Shields to the A1, are you are going to be ok driving to London? Maybe look at the trains or buses and leave the car at home.

I've been driving about 25 years and my job involves a lot of driving. Even with all that experience, I wouldn't drive to London and back in one day. I did Coventry and back in a day and found that really tiring.
