The mags had launched bond schemes which meant less money coming in from season ticket sales and had also got early sponsorship payments off Northern Rock which again reduced future cash flow. You were up to the eyes in debt and mortgaged to the hilt due to the Hall's and Shepherd who were paying themselves handsomely.

Ashley saved you from going bust but you won't admit it.

That's not really an answer to my question, it looks like you've just resorted to 'lol deluded mags Ashley saved you from oblivion!1!1!' type and weakened your argument massively by being incapable of discussing it further.

I know about the £500 bond scheme, btw. I remember it at the time.

See my edit, couldn't be clearer. He didn't discover the £27M in transfer monies owed until after he cleared the initial £43M in debt.

I've quoted that bit myself, man. It's ambiguous as to whether the £43m is included in the £100m or not.

I've even mentioned that the second (earlier) article doesn't mention the £43m at all, further muddying the water.
