Two thirds of the way through. Bit bored to be honest. The number of people he slags off and moans about it quite funny. I was half expecting him to add "needless to say, I had the last laugh" on the most of the stories.

Expected better

I wouldn't sack it off just on my recommendation alone. I'm just finding it a bit dull compared to what I hoped for. He jumps around an awful lot with his timelines so it's hard to follow at times

Also, nothing is ever his fault

Talking to a lad last night same opinion

Going to lend it off him

The disappointing thing is that Warne has a truly compelling story to tell.

Got a few books for Christmas one of which is Warne's. I will start it after I've finished a book about how the world nearly ended in 1983  (nowt to do with India's shock World Cup win against the Windies I hasten to add!)

Why did you expect better?

His stuff about Steve Waugh says it all about him

It’s the same as KP’s book, not quite as bad

Just finished the Warne book and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The cricket tales arent bad but the celeb stuff gets a bit boring. A slightly different from 'Flat Jack' which I recently read.:D

Also sadly no mention of the 2007 Hampshite Lords defeat!!:lol:

What’s it called??

Non fiction book called '1983 The World At The Brink' by Taylor Downing.
Im old enough to remember exactly where I was when it nearly happened.

If you can find a copy, I remember Ray East's was a canny read. That was about 30 years old, mind.

Love the books by the old pros from the 70s...Brian Brain,Jack Simmons,John Snow,Alan Knott etc.

A different world!

Shame, there owt about his ridiculous transformation when he started seeing her?
Aye, he claims it was nothing to do with her and he definitely hasn't had surgery.
His eating habits changed when he got with her and he claims that helped with the weight loss
